Sixty people in the game, three from here, and zero with a full score? Well, then I'm helping one last time - so that all the fair-weather people can get back to their screens and maybe one particularly creative nerd will guess everything correctly after all.
Here is the third and last portion of clues, because the round ends this Saturday:
1) The Penguin Game #9 first appeared as an arcade title in 1982. 2) The #17 has you shoot up some crazy TV show and also first came out as an arcade game. 3) Look at #19! That's rare indeed, a Sega Saturn exclusive. 4) Game #8 is a story-heavy platformer from 2019, you control a robot.
Oh, no hints for #9, #17 and #19! I thought those are three of the five hardest games this time, seperating the super nerds from the ubernerds. Although I felt really stupid when I figured out #17... with that clue it would have been obvious!
I keep forgetting about these quizzes - looked at this on Friday at work, but forgot to submit when I got home. I'll have to 'watch' this topic for future quizzes. Reckon I know maybe 7 or 8 of them without the clues.
That's the way I like it - about 100 participants (okay, 95), lots of good entries and exactly ONE player with full score... a truly deserved first place. The difficulty level was a bit higher, so I had to help with more clues. I hope you had fun though!
You'll see who it is at the end of this post, now first the names of the games as text, then the pictures, then the high score.

Only one player did not know the "Blue Bomber"....

@Mr_Horizon Brilliant quiz. I answered off the top of my head and I think the difficulty was spot on. A couple of games I doubt I would have ever guessed, others i'm kicking myself over. Just fab
(Which version of Elite is that, I'm old and only know the C64 version hee hee)
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

It was the Amiga version, so there were some nicer graphics for the "planet info" screen. Here's another one like it, but with a "large bug-eyed lizard" instead of the human woman.
The players have decided, the next round is all about puzzles!
Not quite what I expected (my "time travel" material collection was already done...) and not really my genre either, but let's have a look. So this time it's about puzzle games and puzzles in games... lots of expected classics are included, but I've tried for a few surprises too!
Somehow I forgot about last Friday, what a shame. So there are the clues today. Over thirty people have already joined in, I hope these hints help you out!
Hints #1: 1) Pictures 6, 8, 10 and 12 show puzzles from classic point and click adventures. 2) Number 3 also shows a puzzle, but the game (heavily advertised online) is a different genre. 3) Game 4 is an indie game (about two years old) that has won many awards. 4) The following series (or the game pictured if no series exists) were first released on mobile devices: 2, 3, 5, 7, 13, 16, 18 plus one of the last row.
What's exciting, totally popular and only runs for four more days? That's right, this month's "Riddle Riddle". Fifty players are competing, one from here, and the clock is ticking - here are the last clues in time for the final weekend. So everybody (and especially @GrailUK@Dogorilla@lifer ), let's go!
Clues #2:
1) What you can see in picture 6 has to do with monkeys in several ways. 2) Number 13 first appeared on the Nintendo DS. 3) Game 19 is not Portal, but another title has a reference to the Portal series. 4) There is one Game Boy game in this round, and one for the Atari 2600.
I didn't get around to look into this until today, but fortunately, the topic is my jam and the month relatively easy.
But this month is great.
Three of the games featured are strong candidates for my all time top 10, and I had to laugh at the entries for the "hidden" secondary theme that connects many of the games featured. Great choice!
