You are a secret agent? You infiltrate heavily guarded facilities, can handle your gun (nevermind, ALL GUNS), and for your government or unspecified secret organisation you go to the limits of your very special abilities? Then this is the place for you - we need capable people to identify these 25 games!
All titles are (sometimes more, sometimes less) about agents, hitmen or spies - and in the bonus question you can complain about how I forgot to put genre classic XYZ in this mix.
How are you getting on, agent? We received secret information that I wanted to share with you - may your mission get easier! Good luck to you and the so far 30 further agents. This message will self destruct after reading!
Clues #1: 1) The titles 3 and 8 are smartphone games. 2) Many games are part of a bigger license or franchise that includes movies, series or comics: 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 16, 17 (plus one entry in the last row). 3) Number 16 is a sidescroller for the GBA. 4) Game 12 was first released on 360, ps3 and PC.
The countdown clock is ticking, agent! There's barely a week left to complete the mission - will you be succesful in extracting the intel on all 25 game titles? Fourty rival agents are already searching... here is the second and last set of clues. This message will self-destruct after reading.
Clues #2: 1) Game 3 is the youngest, and game 6 the oldest title of this round. 2) Number 15 is a lightgun shooter. 3) The games 1, 4, 6, 10, 13 and some in the last row are multiplatform titles that were also released for the Amiga home computer. 4) Title 19 however is an exclusive game for that platform.
Congratulations, the mission has been completed succesfully! A small group of just seven agents even managed to retrieve the complete set of error-free information... very impressive. Please continue reading for the debriefing.
We'll start with the names of the games as text, then as images, followed by the High Score table including everybodys ranking.

In the first quiz of this year I had asked for your wishes - so which game should appear in one of my riddles to make you especially happy. This month your wish might come true, so take a close look.
Because of this rounds nature there is no bigger theme connecting the 25 games, they reach over all decades, genres and platforms... but there is one special rule, which says that if you don't recognise your own wish, you get a penalty point. D:
Of the over 80 suggestions for a new user generated quiz, only 25 could make it into this Make-a-wish round... with a bit of luck your game is there too, so take a close look.
It is by no means an easy round, more a random chaos instead, so I will give you some clues again - here are the Clues #1:
1) Game 14 is the grandfather of a RPG series that was released for DOS computers. 2) Number 18 is an exclusive game for the Atari 2600, released in the early 80s. 3) With the 19 we have an fps with a focus on multiplayer, appearing first on Xbox 360 and Windows in 2009. 4) Title 20 is loosely based on a bible story, you fight some angels in melee combat.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting hint #1... from the wording I'd think you're referring to the first game of that RPG series, and not the one I posted?
There is something strange going on with #14, maybe I made a mistake with that hint or misinterpreted the wish in general... and you are not the only one asking about it! I will investigate and give an update in clues #2.
I replayed the games about a year ago after listening to a podcast about them. While the games are very similar, two things on the picture point at the submitted answer being the right one. Honestly, it's too subtle to differentiate over, though. Usually, you are lenient with numbered parts... will you accept either answer as correct?
So far there are 36 players, and eight users have already succesfully recognised the games they wished for. Nice! However, in this round the entry #14 has caused questions in several communities, and I have since come to realise that this title's engine has been used in so many other RPGs (I count at least eight), that it amounts to an impossible task - nobody has gotten it right.
I am therefore making an exception this time, and will accept every game using the same engine as a correct answer. If you already entered an answer like that, it is now treated as a correct entry.
Here are the Clues #2:
1) Number 9 is a game from this decade, where you explore an unknown (and very colorful) planet. 2) The plot of title 13 plays entirely under water. 3) Game 16 is a simple platformer that was released between 93 & 94 for only Nintendo and Commodore platforms. 4) The #12 isn't a Game Boy title, it was released for a range of modern platforms. You play an octopus with unusual skills.
