Planning to launch a Kickstarter for a game I'm working on. It's a 3D Platformer, called Project Leap. I hope to get it on Wii U, if the Kickstarter is funded.

Then again, I may not launch the Kickstarter. It depends.

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

I'd be willing to donate if you did

What are people's general reactions to Kickstarters for RPG Maker games? Keeping in mind the fund cost would be low, mainly focusing on buying the tools and not so much paying people's salary.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Me? Not very positive due to the look.

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

The look can be anything. (Game Character Hub lets you do any pixel art you want).

Hey you guys remember that part in the WiiU Reveal trailer back in 2011 where it showed Othello and never heard of it again?

4 years later, it's back.

There only asking for a thousand bucks and a $5 pledge will get you this for free.

The classic 90's game DESCENT is coming back via Kickstarter! Yes, you've read it right, the 6 Degrees Of Freedom DESCENT game from the 90s is on it's way back in the form of DESCENT: UNDERGROUND. Vetrans from several classic franchises such as Wing Commander (including the amazing Wing Commander IV: The Price Of Freedom) have obtained the rights to DESCENT and everything that comes with it from Interplay. They have created their own studio DESCENDANT STUDIOS just for this project,

DESCENT: UNDERGROUND will be a prequel to the first DESCENT game. It will have both a single player campaign and of course insane online multiplayer. There will be a variety of maps from more open areas to the calssic twisting and turning tunnels. You will have multiple types of ships to choose from (one being the predecessor to the classic PYRO ship from the original DESCENT game), and have the ability to mod it any way you like. The game will be open sourced for modders, and will be available DRM free! Also, they are being extremely open with their development, and are embracing input from fans and supporters.

I don't support many Kickstarters. Currently I have helped fund 7 (3 games, 1 short film, and 3 local bands that I am freinds with). So I don't throw money at many projects unless I know the people or I really want to see the project succeed. This is one that I really want to see get made. Please check it out, and consider giving them a few bucks. They have 15 days to go and are halfway there. Maybe if enough Nintendo Life members ask for it, they may port it to the Wii U.

Apparently Midora's developer has pulled a bait and switch as they are no longer working on the game and are instead using their Kickstarter funds on a new game titled Treasure Addicts... Source: http://nintendoeverything.com/midora-put-on-hold/

In other words, they were con-artists. Why am I not surprised?

Pretty much.

An online-only isometric action game for up to 12 people for Windows, Mac, and Linux (and hopefully Tablets and Consoles), our goal is to put you inside a new type of survival horror game where every character you encounter is another player - and one of them is a killer.
