JVC Gummy Review:Type: Earbuds These sound okay, plus they're very reliable. However, w/ no sound isolation or a built-in mic (JVC's Gummy Plus have sound isolation but no mic at the same price), these aren't the #1 choice. Overall Score: 7.5/10
JVC Gummy Plus Review:Type: Earbuds These are essentially just the Gummy, but w/ sound isolation. Unfortunately, these do not have a mic; but at the same price, what is there to lose? Also, you can really appreciate the sound quality thanks to the sound isolation now. The sound isolation isn't quite as good as my Ink'd, but it's good nonetheless. The bass is pretty strong, and the sound is crisp. These are the best budget-friendly pair of earbuds I've used overall, and therefore deserve a high score. Overall Score: 8.5/10
JVC Marshmallow Review:Type: Earbuds Imagine a more comfortable pair of Gummy w/ a built-in mic (change songs and pause/play, w/ the click of a button on the headphone wire). Oh, and they're ridiculously priced, not to mention they lack sound isolation. If these had sound isolation, they'd be worth it, but I just can't say that these are worth the money. More than anything, these things can't even stay in your ears - sometimes even walking can be enough for these to fall out. Overall Score: 6.5/10
Skullcandy Jibz Review:Type: Earbuds These sound about as good as the Gummy Plus; like them, these also lack a built-in mic. Unfortunately, you lose the Gummy Plus' reliability - the earbuds drop like flies after a few months of regular usage. Overall Score: 6.5/10
Skullcandy Ink'd Review:Type: Earbuds Like the Jibz, but w/ a built-in mic (change songs and pause/play, w/ the click of a button on the headphone wire), more bass (but not too much), and they last longer (these lasted a decent amount of time, but not too long). At HomeGoods, these are $10, minus tax. At other places...$20. Occasionally, when using these on your 3DS, you may notice the mic stops working. Close the thing, remove the headphones, plug them back in, and open and close your 3DS again. Overall Score: 8/10
I'm really interested in snagging some Skullcandy over-the-head headphones for my Vita and 3DS. I currently use Sony's ear-buds, but all of these type of headphones tend to hurt my ears after a good while of use.
I do use a pair of Sony's noise cancellation headphones for for my laptop and they are awesome, but their too big to carry around with a portable gaming console.
I must admit; I go through headphones like boxes of cereal. It seems like every week I have to rip the plastic off of a new pair and pray that they don't break (which they always do).

Check these out. The Amazon reviews say they're way better than Skullcandys and they're only 20-25 bucks. 4.5/5 stars and 130 reviews. www.amazon.com/JVC-HA-FX1X-Xtreme-Xplosives-Ear/dp/B004M8SAJ4/
Hey, my Skullcandy headphones half-malfunctioned (See 2nd post), and I heard Sony's stuff gets your ears sore. JVC have crappy sound quality. I don't want to get those $70 headphones, but I want fairly good sound quality. Know a brand I'd like I can actually find in any old store? EDIT: Oh, maybe Slapshot meant any kind of earbud gets his ears sore. EDIT 2: This is weird. See my 2nd post again, looks like my headphones still work.
There aren't actually very many companies that produce quality headphones. Sennheiser produces some of the best and usually for a rather decent price. That is, assuming you want sound quality and not popular product placement.

Hey, did you actually go read those reviews? Read the reviews for the JVC Xtreme Xplosives then read the reviews on the Skullcandy's. The JVC's are the best rated earbuds on Amazon. Right after that are some Bose 'buds for the low, low price of $99.99. I'm gonna buy the JVC's.

My bad. All I've used is their Gummy, and now those had crappy sound quality.
I find skull candy tends to not have a large enough environmental operation range for Canada. The sudden drops in temperature that Canada is known for negatively affect the lifespan of Skull Candy. In fact, I heard a story about a guy walking outside with those DJ type headphones in 30 below weather and they separated at the molded seams with a loud crack. Sony headphones are never a good choice either, no matter what you pay. I spent around $20 for a pair of JVC sport headphones(the ones that have ear clips) a year ago that work to this day.

My Sony headphones made my ears sore, while most others don't. Another factor to consider is environmental impact (important to Canadians and people living in coastal areas) In my mind, this is more important than sound quality. (sound quality is slightly more important if you listen to music though)
Um, US dollars? Sorry, I don't know how currency compares and if the price for electronics in Europe are higher than they would be equivalent to. Just saying, though those have got to be epic headphones, but I don't need ones that good. Of course, this is probably a review. Looks like I may have misinterpreted this. Either way, my point is you may want to put a link to the American pricing.
The headphones I currently use are my Sennheiser HD650's. They are pretty expensive, but the quality is exceptional. They sound really natural, have great clarity, and they have a flat response (no hyped frequencies to make them sound boxy or shrill). They are open back however so sound will leak out.
Honestly, I've found most Sennheiser headphones to be pretty reliable and sound good.
the head phones im using are nintendo ds head phones and they were a very good kind it was strong and had really good sound to it,but since i used them for a long long time in need a new pair

Have had at least three pairs of Sennheisers in the past, from in-ear buds to open-backed phones, and all have been superb. These HD 280 Pros are probably the best I've used, though.
