Game just released exclusively on Apple Arcade. Going to download and play it soon.
Talk about it here.
Basically, it’s a JRPG by Mistwalker, creator of games like The Last Story, Blue Dragon, and The Lost Odyssey. Led by Final Fantasy’s Daddy, Hironobu Sakaguchi. Fantasian’s music composer is Nobuo Uematsu, best known for his work on the Final Fantasy series.
I honestly wish it weren't a phone exclusive game. I don't really think it's that comfortable to play extensive JRPG's on a small mobile device. I'm really hoping it'll eventually come to switch or something, since it looks pretty unique and interesting honestly. The mechanic where you stick enemies in another dimension to grind is also pretty cool.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
I don't really know what the gameplay is like but I saw that the backgrounds are made using real models which looks really cool. I don't have any Apple devices though so I'm also hoping it comes to Switch eventually.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@VoidofLight if you have a decent controller it can be better playing on a phone than the switch.
I'm having a blast playing retro games like Symphony of the Night and Chrono Trigger on my android, plus its a bigger screen with much better resolution.
Love Sakaguchi's work. Hearing his name makes me want to replay Lost Odyssey (his best game, imo). But I don't own a smart phone. I'm hoping for a Switch port, but that most likely won't happen.

Got my hands on the Switch port yesterday. I've only played an hour. The camera pan-and-rotate as you pass through certain checkpoints in the area you're traversing is really unique. I can't think of another game that does that. It really makes the 3D models pop.
And I appreciate the fact that you set the battle music to random, from a curated list of Final Fantasy battle music. A really nice touch. Beyond that, it's a high quality mobile rpg. Smallish areas with lots of loading screens. Loading in and out of combat. Loading, loading, loading.
That may or may not trigger you.
If you love Final Fantasy, I assume you will tolerate it.

i am curious to see how well it holds up on switch in busy locations such as towns.
think reviews have been mixed with some saying theres issues while a few others including NL say its fine for the most part outside of some cutscenes.
another thing ive heared about is the load times and looking at videos while they do seem significantly longer than other versions they do look tolerable at least and the games encounter gimmick does make it so that battles can be more spaced out compared to something like the psone ports of chrono trigger, FFV and FFVI (also FFIX on psone had some long load times and battle transitions even compared to FFVIII and legend of dragoon)
Waiting on my Switch copy to come home. The loading times do look annoying, but I think it’ll be fine for me. Dimension battles will be pretty useful in this case. And the music feature looks really cool!
And yeah, I think the camera work is cool too. It reminds me of a pre rendered background from the psone days, but not really lol
Five hours in now. Just a very chill rpg so far. Music is perhaps not Uematsu's best, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. The story has me engaged, even with the amnesia trope. And I'm surprised how item usage feels good and necessary.
Oftentimes in jrpgs I feel usable items are just amassed and not often used.

Ten-ish hours in. Bosses are actually beginning to get a little sweaty. Had my party wiped a couple times. Item usage is continually becoming more necessary.
Feels good.
