For those that don't know, 4 supplimental Doctor Who episodes, in the form of free downloadable computer games will be available from the BBC website, with the first one coming out June 5th.
Am i the only one that thinks that these games are more than just a little experiment for the Doctor Who team? I get the feeling that if they are successful enough critically and with fans, they will try their hand at longer retail games.
That's just the feeling I get. Anyway, after seeing the April 24th episode of Doctor Who Confidential, these don't look like half-assed games either. They look like they're actually something to look forward to. Part of me wishes they would have had them as Wiiware or something, I'd pay a bit of money for a more full game experience i could play on my TV, but still, im excited

@shingi_70 I think you are sorely missing out. I do miss some of the earlier characters, but storywise this season have some of the best written episodes. The Weeping Angels two-parter (In the Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone, Episodes 4 & 5) in particular is probably, in my honest opinion, one of the best stories of the whole series. Many viewers have said this, as well as critics on various websites. I got chills.
But yeah, its a strong enough series as a whole, and the anthology-type format of the show allows for there to be many different approaches in story, as well as deviations in plot that give room for things like spin-off novels and video games.
As for Torchwood...one they started killing off pretty much the entire main cast, i kinda...stopped watching...sorry
