Can I still compete? Got my wii back for awhile.

Of course you can sir, the more the merrier. We're still connected so just post a time and you're in.

1:39.78 for me so far. I can often get the first three in under thirty seconds, but the last group just seem so unpredictable that it's difficult to clear them up tidily.

So Machu....You leading this one? I just did some. You should see this one guy's time, something like 17 secs. Don't know about that one.

17 seconds sounds like a hack, surely? Nintendo will remove it I'm sure.

Whenever I try to do it, it gives me this message:
"A worldwide Mario Kart Wii tournament will begin and last for a limited time only. Please connect your wii to the Internet, turn on WiiConnect24, and wait for the tournament to start."
I'm not sure what WiiConnect24 is, guess I'll google it, but I haven't had this problem before. Could it have something to do with my wii being all open atm? (it's my second try at killing that buzzing, it came back...)
Edit: Just googled it, and I realised something, my Wii is powering down to red instead of that yellowish colour, does that mean WiiConnect24 is off? Also there's a battery I took out as I disassembled it, could that be interfering?

Can I still join? My FC is in my sig. My nickname on MKWii is Matt (yes, another one!) I'll be adding everyone from the first post so add me! I believe my best time in the current comp is around 1:16 but I'll get a more accurate time soon.

EDIT: My best time is 1:06.433. I am getting slightly better!

@Starkiller: I believe you need to reactivate Connect24 in the settings if you have had the battery out.

Thanks, I'll see if I can't do that now. The only problem is, it's still out... maybe it can go in without the rest of the case on.
Edit: How many Matts does that make... 4? I'll think about changing my nickname.

Edit: I'm the only score that I can see. Guess I was taken off some wii since the last time I played before I loan my wii to my girl.

My first submitted time is 54.563 (along those lines anyway). Got a good feeling about this.
