Topic: Super Mario Maker Level Creation Challenge Thread [Voting for: Time Limits, New Theme: Pink Coins, Deadlines: April 3rd]

All of the Red and Blue levels were great, but my vote will have to go to @Fink-Nottle for the Red or Blue level. I liked how there are different ways depending on the colour, and that each route felt quite different. Plus the level felt fair without anything nasty suddenly appearing.

Can my costume level focus on just one costume or does it have to contain lots of them?

@eXtremeHippo: It's up to you, as long as it matches the theme, feel free to use as many or as few costumes as you want. At least one is required to fit the theme.

My costume fun theme level is close to being done, now it's just hoping the 50th star drops in time.

@SuperWiiU: Or you could do like I did. I removed temporarily one of my least popular levels and uploaded new one on its place. Then I just uploaded it again with few revisions after I got 50.

I did that, but I haven't gotten enough plays and stars yet on those levels to reach 50.

@Fink-Nottle: You can play the 100 Mario Challenge on easy a few times, the levels are very short or even auto scrolling, so you could've unlocked some costumes very quickly.

It would be great if we form a community that share good or for the very lest decent Mario courses.

sadly i am too late to join the competition but would be happy to join if there ever was another competition.

You're not too late, you still have the whole weekend to make level in the costume fun theme. If you're short for time, just keep the level small.

Or you can start with playing the Red&Blue theme levels and let us know which you like the best.

I made this level for Costume Fun:

It's a level based on the game Portal and uses the Samus costume throughout since it's the costume that most resembles Chell (both Chell and Samus are female protagonists with orange clothes and a gun).

Alright, I finally got mine done. Whatever the next theme is, I strongly recommend it's not Super Mario Bros. 1 related. I'm sick of that style at this point, as you can probably tell by this conglomerate of a level:

@crimsontadpoles Ah! I played your level before reading your description and it seemed a bit odd design wise, but it makes perfect sense now! Nice level btw; it was pretty long though so I'm glad you gave enough power-ups, because I did not want to do it all over again.

@SuperWiiU: How many more stars do you need? I JUST got internet back today (I recently moved and didn't have internet all week) so I will absolutely hop on and star your courses ASAP! I also have a level ready that I will be posting tomorrow! Just so you all know I'm still alive haha

I was already over 40 yesterday, so you might push me over the edge. Thanks to everyone here who've starred my levels, because that's where most of my 20 or so new stars have come from.

A Mario Kart Grand Prix consisting of remakes of DS Airship Fortress and GCN Bowser's Castle. Hopefully you're familiar with the tracks before you play this level.

Really proud of this one, though I'm not sure how easy/hard it is to figure out, and if I should increase or decrease the time limit? Let me know what you think. I have no one to test it for me haha.

I also need to announce that voting for the theme "Red and Blue" is now closed, and the winner is @MasterWario! The first post will be updated to reflect this. I would like to keep a record of all of the levels submitted in that post from now on, probably with some collapsible sections or something. Going to look into that now. Congrats! There is also now less than 24 hours remaining to submit for the theme Costume Fun! I will be ending the submissions at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, September 27 (the day I am posting this). Glad to see some more people able to submit this time around.
