Topic: (NA) Monster Hunter Tri online friends

I may show up tonight, dunno yet (I need to give Donkey Kong a small break, lol)...was wondering though, how do you delete a character? Kinda pointless to keep one if I'm never going to use it, lol. Main problem is though, its on the same file as my current. xD

Eh, skipping out tonight, decided to start a new game just to fool around and play with new weapons (tried testing out the great sword...meh). Dunno, think the long sword is the only other weapon I will like other than the sword and shield.

I'll be on around 1-ish.

Might get on later tonight, depends on much homework I get done (and need to play more Donkey Kong again, lol)...though I do need to go online and practice more with this Great Sword now. (man its sluggish, but I admit its powerful, lol)

Long Sword > Anything else

Well people were complaining to me that the Long Sword is a noob weapon or something stupid like that. xD
Definitely better than a great sword though. >_>

Great Swords rule. Massive power, it stuns, and even doubles as a shield.

Never seen a puny LS do anything awesome. (Well besides tripping your teamates and slowing things down) _noob

Sword and Shield are the noob weapon Long Swords are nothing but awesomeness unless you are hunting Jho.

Long swords are basically easier versions of GSs. I prefer GSs, though.
GS=Stronger, slower.
LS=Faster, weaker

That's what I like though, speed...hate sluggish movements...which is why I like Long Swords and the SnS.
EDIT: Heh...turns out I can fight better with Great Swords underwater than with Long Swords.

The two aren't even similar. The only weapon that controls anywhere close to a LS is swax.

LS ans SnS take almost no skill to competent with, and most, not all, people that use them all the time are not very good at this game. i.e. Joey

@Revas - Pretty sure you lurk this topic. So I gemmed in Attack Up (L) on my Ala Gunner Set. What gun would you recommend I use with this? I don't need any slots.

@Bekah - Hopefully see around dinner time. Do want to try this new Event. It's sweet they keep churning them out.

I use a LS, after reading a comprehensive FAQ on using a LS. I'm a lot better with it now than I was when I first got one. For instance, I almost never use the spirit combo (especially on smaller wyverns) unless I know I can do so without tripping other hunters, mostly use the infinite combo awesomesauce and the fade slash or whatever. Also, I usually never charge the spirit gage thing past yellow, too much trouble having to spirit roundslash a billion times to work my way back up again. That is of course, unless the monster is almost dead, then I might go to red/pink.

On the occasion that I do trip you, it's probably because you were a hammer user trying to cut off the tail(I'm looking at you hakota) >_<

Anyway, I can't wait to try out this Los/Bari quest, and then burn (freeze) and die

@JayArr I'm not sure which gun would be best for that set but I would like to say that my favorite gun is poison stinger frame, devils grin barrel, and agna blaster stock. With it fully upgraded the raw attack for me is like 405 and the shield is always handy.
