Actually, if I could play MH3 as a complete newbie again (not just making a new character at HR 0) I would totally do it. Learning the controls, weapons, monster behaviours, discovering new monsters, and dying 203472893 times were like the best parts of the game.

I say learn to be a pro Swaxer. I still don't understand this crazy weapon. O.o So if you can do that it would be quite the accomplishment in my eyes.
I've been playing Swax quite a bit recently. It's definitely a weapon for more experienced players. It specializes in element/status attacks - in sword mode 100% of hits are elem/status and the burst does really big elem/status damage. I think it even outperforms SnS for elem/status damage if you can manage the phial bar well.
No shield, slow movement in sword mode, average raw damage output, and to pull off the element burst you have to get the enemy to stand in place for like 5 seconds. That basically means you have to trap, stun, para or knock it down before you can do that. Other than that the weapon has no special features worth mentioning which is kinda disappointing.
Also axe mode kinda sucks. I just spend all my time in sword mode and play sort of like a hybrid GS/LS lol. You can even draw the weapon straight into sword mode. No bouncing off armor ftw too.
@Tech I've already beaten Ceadeus in under 30 mins, lol.
@JayArr Kay-O working on Swax now, I think I pro now since I've been trying everything online. It's hard to tell when you're pro when all the monsters are puny.
