No threads for Zombie Army Trilogy or the upcoming Zombie Army 4.

Amazon has a price error right now for Zombie Army 4 preorder, marked down to $19.99 from $49.99, and includes all Season Pass 1 DLC (credit to @Magician for finding this amazing deal)

Judging by Sniper Elite 4 and how well optimized that game was on Switch, this is looking to be a grade A Switch release. It even has Zombie great white sharks!

Sniper Elite 4 is a fantastic game, so I think this will be too..... But I don't like war games with zombies or aliens, so hope SE 5 will be released on Switch too.

Zombie Army 4 releases Tuesday, and the first review has dropped from SwitchCorner.

Immaculate port, great graphics, resolution and framerate, minimal load times outside of chapter selection, gyro aiming, 6GB total space for install, and season 1 DLC included.

Another master class port from Rebellion.

What a spread. Hopefully Sniper Elite 5 makes its way over at some point, too.

But this game here is a choice cut. Unfortunately, Rebellion games never get the recognition they deserve.

Played about 45 minutes and it was pretty fun sniping away. The close combat gets a little getting use to, but the ranged combat is super rewarding when you get a 2 for 1 or a nice head shot with a gruesome cut scene to boot.

I've always been curious about the zombie army games. What is the general gameplay loop of one of these games?

Have you played the Sniper Elite series?

It's a spinoff from that series, so it has the same characters and gunplay. But it's more of an open-ish linear game where you take out hordes of zombies, with 3 guns on your person to swap between. Which guns you take can be customized, and there are tons of upgrades and cosmetic choices for each if you're into that, but I typically take one Sniper rifle with scope, one semi-automatic and a pistol for last resort. That covers far distances, medium range and short range last ditch effort.

The game has campaign and horde mode- both of which can be played solo, online with friends or randoms, or local with friends. The campaign consists of missions, and each mission consists of several chapters.

It's just good old fashioned fun taking down tons of zombies. But the zombies have a ton of variety- you'll start encountering ones with helmets that protect them, ones that can snipe, even a zombie great white shark lol. You can use your environment to your advantage, blowing up barrels and stuff to catch them in the explosion.

The gyro aiming makes the gunplay super fun and addictive, and the quality sniping mechanics return from Sniper Elite. So you can tap R while scoped to hold your breath and steady your aim and zoom in farther (though the breath gage depletes as you do so, meaning it's not unlimited- it regenerates pretty quickly though).

It's one of those rare games that's just super high quality all around, fun solo, fun in co-op, and looks top shelf on Switch with peak performance.

Cause if you loved the game with analog stick controls, you're gonna adore playing with fluid gyro aiming.

Gyro for this game is pretty great I'll say. But for the most part gyros not for me either.

I didn't hear great things about Strange Brigade, but lately I've seen a lot of ppl hyping it up. Is it as good as Sniper Elite and Zombie Army? I heard it's multiplayer only though, right? Unlike Sniper Elite and Zombie Army which are designed around solo or co-op. Not that that's necessarily bad. I love Splatoon and that's primarily multiplayer.

BTW the perks and weapon upgrades are excellent and make the game super addictive trying to complete the mini tasks assigned to unlock certain upgrades. It requires actually using the weapon you wish to upgrade.

@JaxonH sorry if that was confusing lol. Gyro isn't really my style. I'm loving the game with Gyro though is what I was saying. Really, I'm just loving the game in general.

You can play through Strange Brigade solo easily enough, although the boss fights might be a bit challenging alone. SB isn't much different than the Zombie Army series gameplay wise, it's just that SB has more of an Indiana Jones vibe rather than ZA's Night of the Living Dead vibe. Mummies, giant scorpions, treasure themed collectibles, etc.

My brother is coming over on Saturday to play some Zombie Army 4 co-op and Splatoon 2 Salmon Run.

He LOVES this game to death. He got in on that Amazon price error for $19.99 also. I love having great co-op games to play that you can also play solo when you want.

Yup, I bought the Ragnarok campaign yesterday. I already have Season Pass 1, 2 and 3. So of course I was always going to load up on Season Pass 4 content.

I haven't tried the Horde mode yet but there was also a new Horde Mode map released for free yesterday with the update.
