Minish Cap is pretty brilliant. I don't think that it needs a remake though - it still looks great and is very approachable. It might even be the most approachable Zelda game. The game goes down like butter.

The Oracle games were both a bit rougher than Link's Awakening (IMO), inheriting the same interface that makes them hard to seriously recommend to many new players in 2021. Remaking them in the LA engine would make them far more palatable and give the developers the chance to sand down a few rough edges. I'd like to see that - they had some great ideas and collectively I think a collection of the two remade would stand up to the remake of Link's Awakening (although neither game is individually on the same level).

@StuTwo
See, I actually experienced more logical gaps progressing in Minish Cap than I did with the Oracles games. Maybe it's because I grew up with Link's Awakening and Link to the Past and was more in-tune with early 2D Zelda puzzles and logic.

Have Nintendo announced they'll be doing something for Zelda's 35th anniversary?

Nope, I don't think so. The current rumor is that they will on Feb. 18th, I believe. But it's only a rumor.

The one thing we know is that it won't happen in the last week of February because I don't think Nintendo would drop Pokémon and Zelda news in the same week. Especially when, or rather despite, the Pokémon announcements likely mostly being merch with the odd game announcement here and there (I'm not expecting much tbh. They'll probably try to make the MOBA not look like ***** again and maybe give us a minute or so long trailer for whatever comes this November)
