I just got Stardew Valley for the first time, it seems pretty cool but it hasn’t grabbed me and sucked me in just yet. I also got Farm Together which I can already tell will be a hit with my whole family.

I still have backlog. I'm finishing DB Fighter Z and Celeste. Currently playing Animal Crossing too and I have in my catalogue Bastion to start playing. I'm wondering if I buy Mario+Rabbids during the Christmas Sales or between Dead Cells, Moonlighter or Childrens of Morta. Or Assassin's Creed Rebel Colletion or Dragons Dogma... omg so many games I wanna buy ahah any feedback on those games?

Edit: back to your question. Mario plus rabbids is a phenomenal strategy tactical game. Tons of humor and great gameplay. It's no walk in the park though so don't let the cute Art style fool you lol. Just finished my first play through of dragons dogma last month. Awesome game. It's basically like the Witcher III if you like that.

Got a gift card for participating in a marketing survey so I picked up taiko no Tatsujin Rhythmic Adventure Pack. Been a while since I played those games. Still hoping chibi dragon gets ported.

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes physical edition.

Picked up Horace, great little game. If you put Mario, Paddington Bear and Wall-e in a blender, and had Wallace and Gromit Reanimate the corpse. This is what you'd get.

If you like Platformers, this is a no brainer, get this game.

Picked up Ys origin on sale. I have just recently got into playing all the series (so far VIII, I&II, oath of felghana and origin) and I love them although I tend to prefer JRPGs.

On this one I have completed one Run with the melee chatacter and I am doing a second with the Magic user to unlock the final character (and apparently the cannon option).

But I will also most likely grab Guacamele 2 that is 75% off

Be warned- the game gets crazy addictive. You might plan to just check it out for a few minutes, next thing you know you've sunk 4 hours into the game 😀

But, it does start off easy. There are Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme (and Ninja, if you're top 1% and gold medal every Extreme track in the game, something well beyond my capabilities).

You start only doing Easy tracks. Eventually you unlock Medium, and later in the game you'll unlock Hard, and then Extreme. A good chunk of the game is on Easy and Medium tracks. These have a different cadence to them. They're not hard, the obstacles are more for fun than technical skill, and they're just a blast to play. Big air time, flips, etc are all part of the experience.

But when you eventually unlock Hard tracks, you'll have to buckle down and take things more seriously. Air time is your enemy. You have to learn how to bunny hop, this is crucial. Throttle control, flow, learning how to endo, and even endo into a bunny hop is one of those skills you'll develop over time with practice.

THANKFULLY, Ubisoft hired one of the best Trials players from the community to make a "University of Trials" section in the game, where it teaches you various techniques and skills, and eventually, highly advanced skills. Dont ignore University of Trials! Try to get an A grade on every new course where its teaching you a new skill.

Once you hit the hard tracks, the game completely morphs from a high flying, carefree time into a highly skill based obstacle course. And THAT is where the true addiction comes in.

Pro Tip: Be sure to open Ubisoft Connect (Uplay) in game and claim the free sponsor, and if you have Uplay coins, grab some other content while you're at it. But the sponsor provides more contracts which help you gain XP, which is needed to eventually unlock Extreme tracks around Level 87. Doesn't take as long as it seems.
