Wait, the second clue about the fog isn't in the sea?!
I've wasted a lot of time looking for it.
@JaxonH Colony Gamma updates new student requests on that board as you get further in the story, I believe. I've unlocked and completed a few of them now.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
For the life of me I can't figure out how to access this middle region of Fornis.
I'm not referring to the secret Nopon Traded through Milia Caverns. That I found. It's this other massive mountain I can't seem to find a way up! The map shows a few ladders but when I go there I'm in a big recessed cavern and there is no vines or anything

@Ralizah
I found it. Don't know why I kept missing it for so long. Area is just so big, circling that massive mountain looking for a way up takes foreeever
Even now I'm still finding patches of Fornis I hadn't explored. 3 times now I said, "that's everything" then find some new area.
Fornis is massive. They could make an entire game in this one region and nobody would blink.

That cave thing... that was a problem a while ago, looked up the answer, and then made a video to help others.
If anyone wants to know how to get to that mountain in the middle of Dannagh Desert...
Wow. I played for 7 straight hours today. I'm back in Indiana at the hotel (home sweet home I guess). All sidequests. They just kept popping up as I went to old colonies. More yellow speech bubbles, like they'd never end. Must have done 15 sidequests today. Got my final traversal skill, filled in MASSIVE chunks of Fornis and Aetia I didn't even realize I was missing...
Just have 2-3 more sidequests and a Level Unlock Hero Quest for Gray. Checked the clock, realized it's MIDNIGHT already. What!!! Where did the time go! Should have been to bed hours ago. Save file is up to 90 hrs now.

While there are some areas in XC3 that can be a bit puzzling to reach, it's far removed from the complexity of XC2's maps. Even Gormott, the very first open area you explore, is much more difficult to find your way around than any of the areas in XC3, in my opinion at least.
@TheJGG
Love seeing you play with Taion. Is he your main?
@Mioaionios Ha! The whole main question's interesting, because of the classes. Because they're all interchangeable virtually everyone's playable. I like the attacker and defence classes more so I naturally gravitate towards those.
But in the field... either Noah or Taion, they have the best sound effects. Sena's scream is so... weird that I can't bear travelling as her. But honestly all of them are alright.
@Mioaionios interesting that question about mains as for nearly 80-90% of the game I swapped to the character with the weapon I liked the most as I was trying to unlock all Heroes with everyone and in general I prefer to be the tank role. However towards the end I started keeping around Noah just because i liked his Ouroboros the most (Faster animations and easier to cancel between them for quick special attack)
@TheJGG@Balta666
When I first started playing the game, I too experimented with all characters and classes, but I quickly gravitated towards Mio as my main. I love everything about her, from design to voice acting, her personality and of course her story.
I still played around with different classes while controlling her, but eventually came to the conclusion I like her default class Zephyr the most on her. Not only is it a tanking class, which I prefer in every Xenoblade game, if you give her the right accessories and gems she becomes a true powerhouse and so much fun to play when you're using one talent after another pretty much non-stop while dashing around to enter fields of agility and attack-up.
Right now on my second playthrough I've been using Mio and her Zephyr class exclusively once she became available. The rest of my party switches around with different classes to level them up and unlock them for one another. For Mio, I use Nopon coins to level those classes for her that benefit her the most with master arts and master skills.
So I just finished XC3 with all classes maxed on rank 20 for all characters. It took me 180+ hours to finish everything in the game. Man, what a great game.
Although, I do not understand the story about Noah and N - how can there be both? Can anyone explain it to me somehow?
@Mioaionios i like Mio a lot but when I am fighting I am zoning out and do not hear anything around it lol. However her class is awesome and for the first part I was only using the character that was upgrading her class as well and did the final boss with Noah's at hers as also. From the 6 characters I also like Sena's (but only after reducing the time from auto attacks with gems).
Question: One sidequest pop up yesterday where I have to find Bright fig in high Maktha wildwood but does not show on map where and I could not find any. Do you know a good spot to search?
@Tainaru N, like the other Consuls (Moebius) aren't created in the same way everybody else is. From my understanding, they are manifestations of regret and grief, while Noah was reborn in Aionios like he always has after his death.
@Balta666
The search for Bright Figs consists of two parts. First you have to go back to Yellowgrove, the area where the party first finds a Bright Fig tree but those aren't ripe yet.
Next, you have to venture into Low Maktha Wildwood. The quest will show the general area where to find the tree but not the exact location. It's in the south-east of the quest zone in a slightly hidden outcropping of the map.
Hope this was helpful enough.
@Mioaionios completly forgot about that cutscene with Mio! And now i remembered the reason I was not seeing the Quest simbol is because I removed Triton from the team lol. Thanks!
We were talking about mains just now, but who's everyone's favourite Hero, personality wise?
I'll give you my Top 5:
1. Juniper
2. Valdi
3. Riku and Manana
4. Alexandria
5. Fiona
Top 5 Heroes:
1- spoiler (but if you know my favourite game...)
2- Ghondor
3- Riku and Manana
4- Alexandria (She is so messed up that is quite funny)
5- Valdi
@Mioaionios Thanks, this makes much more sense to me. But
shouldn't there be another Joran too? Or did he become just "regular" consul without higher meaning?
Also, if Z can control all life and death and all process of reborning souls like that, shouldn't he be able to just kill all his enemies in a blink of an eye? Why did he let Noah and his friends come to him? Do you think that he cannot affect Ouroboros?
