@AlternateButtons nope, unfortunately you can't save scum Rare Blades, they automatically did save when you are opening it (o-o )

@meleebrawler Yeah, I think that's completely false. My Blades don't drop in autoattack damage when comparing between Drivers, and you also need to remember that Drivers' skills can really make a difference. Zeke, for example, has +10% damage on critical hits and Strength while Rex only has a +20% damage ratio to Arts after canceling which is worse than Zeke's skills.

Some of the "trust gains" pop-ups that appear with Rex are glitched to be a level lower than normal (like if you got S trust, it'll say you got A trust), if that's what you mean.

@AlternateButtons I have KOS-MOS, got her 130 hours in as my last Blade.

To max out on 999 Luck, get both a % boosting and flat boosting Luck accessory, and get three Common Blades with at least +15% Luck modifier. Get three Core Chips that increase Luck by 50 (it varies based on the weapon, but some like Amethyst Chips work, though not for them all), then equip them all to get 999 Luck.

And yeah, the subreddit went ballistics with "these KOS-MOS posts are getting sneakier" lol. At least it was really funny.

@AlternateButtons I can't remember exactly where, I might have gotten them from Merc Missions and/or sidequests. But I think I remember the Ignas in the Profaned Place in Temperantia dropping 25% Chokers.

You can definitely get Amethyst Chips from Implacable Dylan in Uraya (Skip Travel to the head where you first crashed into during the story, then just go forward until you go into a poison pit, a level ~25 Unique Monster drops that Chip). Be warned that it won't always increase Luck though, it may have different effects depending on the weapon. Beyond that, I can't remember much, sorry.

I'm still really early in the game.
I purchased the DLC... Opened the gifts and items that we've been getting...
If I were to just start a new game/overwrite the file (I only have one account on the system and do not want to make another)
Will I lose all those gifts?

@Gold_Ranger If you start a new game, you can claim the Season Pass items again.

I don't think it matters if you have a new profile or not.

@Snaplocket Rex has different arts with the Purple Lightning Dreamsmasher, which are much less potent than Zeke's. I only really use Zeke as an easy way to 'rush' enemies which I can beat with relative ease. He definitely has his uses, being the only other dedicated attacker aside from Rex, which, yet again, is reflected in his excellent arts on attack weapons. I didn't actually use him that much otherwise, despite the fact that I liked his character.
Even if Tora is more suited to a defensive tank, Poppi is so versatile that she can make Tora into an Agility beast, regardless of Tora's high defense (his agility isn't too bad either).

Mostly because I was playing it similar to the older two games and not really realizing how different everything is/was.
Plus, I've been playing Xenoblade 3D and am 148:32 into it, at lvl 73 and at Agniratha.
I want to finish this game and then start Chronicles 2.
I've beaten X (main story, not all side quests, WiiU in storage)
So, when I restart XC2, it'll have been a few months since I last played...

I just wanted to make sure that all the gifts and downloads and everything that we got would still be there/be back for when I actually delve into the game properly.

I don't like the way Items drop in XC2. mostly the coins... they just fall away into oblivion never to be gotten. why the heck did they have to change that?
I'm also not particularly fond of the way the battle scheme commands are laid out this time.
XC3D and X were great. This feels like a step back.

UI is a massive improvement from XC1 and XCX. Everything is a lot more clear and easy to digest.

Enemy drops are definitely annoying in this game compared to XCX (definitely not XC1 though, chests can still drop to oblivion), but when you got completed Driver Combos they spill out loot you can preemptively collect, so eh.

Also I've been thinking about a gimmick new setup lately. I was thinking of attachibg a Jet Palturon (however you spell it) to Rex (increases Smash damage by 100%), and have Tora Break + Launch while I also have an Overclocking Bangle on Rex. The third party member can be anyone as they can all also help Break, so they all have Beta Scopes. I use two level 3 Special Arts from Tora, then I just repeatedly use Driver Combos to spam Fusion Combos. With that damage, I can probably crap out like 200k-400k per Smash (depending on crits or other variables) and rack up so much damage and loot throughout the fight.

I'll need to see how the math actually interacts with each other, but the amount of fun ways to kill things is great. It totally takes Topple locking to a whole new level.

@AlternateButtons Luckily I have the quest completed so I don't really care, but yeah, if you are mid-quest I highly suggest you finish that before going into NG+ unless you really hate Ursula.

I currently have 99 of all Cores so once I get to Chapter 2-3 (currently just playing with no cutscene skipping atm), I'll be opening them.

Ok I'm going to bed. Half-way into Chapter 2 at the moment. Once I wake up, it's back to NG+. So can't wait to start grinding for Blades!

After seeing that New Game Plus erases your original save file (some games like Wind Waker and Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn allow you to keep your original save file and have a New Game Plus save file), I think I'll save New Game Plus for when the story DLC is closer.

Also I know they said some of the new blades are quest only. Do we know which those are?

@EvilLucario lol yeah that first level 1 enemy right at the start of the game, I was level 83. Lowered my level as soon as I could!

Just yesterday I ordered the game online. Most online-shops in holland don't have it anymore, but I did find one. You can understand my tears when I opened the package today, only to find a broken gamebox, no card and no Return-sticker!! Well, I never order at that shop again (I normally order at another shop, but they didn't have it)!!
