Within the sea of kart racers available on the Switch, racing games that lean closer towards realistic vehicles are a breath of fresh air. Games like Burnout Paradise, Crusin' Blast, and Asphalt 9 are probably the best of the arcade racers. As it stands right now, Grid Autosport is the best sim/arcade racer available on Switch. And I think Wreckfest will be a tempting alternative for Switch-owning racing fans.

A leak over at Gamefly suggests this is due for release on June 21st.

I played a bit of this when it was on Game Pass last year and wasn't that impressed. It was pretty fun to begin with, but after a few races it seemed like the AI drivers were super-aggressive and were all just taking each other out of the race and I was usually left crawling round the track as the last driver standing in a badly damaged car.

my favourite racing game of all time. even if you dont win, the incredible chaotic races with insane crashes are still entertaining. they are still adding content from time to time, both free (tracks, cars, paints) and paid dlc (cars).

i do have to say that people should wait for reviews when it comes to the switch version though. the game requires a good CPU to compute the ultrarealistic physics engine. devs already said that the amount of cars will be reduced on switch. if you can, you should get this on PC. all console versions have reduced amount of cars on the tracks.
