Personally, I’d like to see Star Fox, F-Zero, Wave Race, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out!!, WarioWare, Mario Strikers and more. I’m interested to discuss what franchises you want to return on Nintendo’s hybrid system and also what features or ideas you’d like to see integrated into potential new entries.
@Anti-Matter I actually picked that game up last year and I think it’s criminally underrated. The production values were higher than the prior two 3DS outings, the Mii integration was charming in a time where Miis don’t get a lot of love from Nintendo and I enjoyed the tower defence gameplay with Dillon’s unique abilities. I’m still surprised it got a physical release. I do think the Switch needs more charming affordable downloadable titles like Pullblox and the series could flourish on Switch in that department.
Metroid is pretty under represented even though we know prime 4 is coming out. Punch out would be a good one as well. A new star tropics game would be so cool, but I doubt it's making a come back if it hasn't by now.
I feel like WarioWare is tailor made for the Switch’s capabilities. Just imagine all the wacky new things they could do with HD rumble, the Joy-Con could herald the return of WarioWare: Smooth Moves’ different ways of holding the controller and multiplayer right out of the box would be perfect. I think it could be at least a year away considering that Gold released back in 2018.
