I remember Dennis Dyack tried to kickstart the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness a few years ago, a project called Shadow of the Eternals, but it didn't get enough traction. Then in 2018 he formed Apocalyse Studios with the goal of developing a Legacy of Kain spiritual successor (an action/rpg similar to Blood Omen, not a 3D puzzle/platformer like Soul Reaver) called Deadhaus Sonata. It's looking like one of those games that'll stay in development limbo forever it seems.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

@Magician Yeah, but no one trusts Dennis Dyack after Too Human and X-Men, and all the other drama that went down with Silicon Knights. If Nintendo had a competent studio remake Eternal Darkness, I think it would do well.
I had a dream that Nintendo would get Kojima and Del-Torro to rework Silent Hills into an Eternal Darkness sequel, but that was never going to happen.

Forget that Sands of Time remake and just give me the HD Prince of Persia Trilogy with Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and Two Thrones. That seems like it would be easy money for Ubisoft.
Love anything Zelda. Most other Ninty franchises too! Purposely vague...

Nintendo needs to remake Eternal Darkness and Geist.
Geist would be a great game to remake because Geist was almost something great but just...wasn't in execution. Mostly because the FPS parts were very mediocre. Get someone who knows how to make fun FPS and update a few other things and you have a real gem of a game.
(also it'd be nice if the FPS parts were good because its one of the only FPS with a variety of memorable, interesting boss fights at all)
Some of my tops picks would be the obvious Metroid Prime trilogy and Metal Gear collection, but what I really want are some remastered SNES titles. Super Metroid would be my first choice, as I love that game to bits, but Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, and Final Fantasy VI would also be fabulous.
But then again, maybe the Switch doesn't need any more RPGs at the moment...
It would be nice to see some of the older Rockstar games ported across like Bully or Manhunt. The original top down GTA would also be fun to play again.
Rare Replay
-Man, I’d kill for some no frame rate lag Banjo games. And Perfect Dark. And Conkers. And Jet Force. Oh man. Back on a Nintendo console where they belong.
Metroid Prime Trilogy
-I own all three originals but never got the trilogy release.
Pikmin Trilogy
-only own the first. Never played the second. Only played the demo of the third.
2D Zelda Collection
-never played them. Would love to.
3D Zelda collection
-played all of the originals and still own them. But would kill for no frame rate lag Majoras and Ocarina.
A Bitmap Bros collection would be niiiiice.
Obvs the 3D Zeldas
Some Metal Gear Solid games would be fun
Shenmue 1+2?
And a modern version of The Sentinel
Definitely GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas for me. They have already ported them to Android/iOS, so... It would't hurt.
Just don't put a $60 pricetag on it.
1. Super Smash Bros Melee
2. Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Even though we had the Wii and Wii U versions of these games, when the gang came over (before COVID), more often than not, when I would go to the game room, it would be these 2 games that were on the screen.
One thing I miss about Double Dash is the two players in one car. Great for when my kids were too young to drive. They'd still be able to play. But then when you are done racing, it is funny to just try and throw things at each other. The funniest is when the other person in your car is "NOT" on your team and is trying to make you crash (by bouncing you into walls, or throwing bananas right in front of you. LOL) to try to let the other team win! LOL.
Would love to see the following games made in to HD remasters for the switch:
Star wars Knights of the old Republic 1&2
All of the final fantasy games
Perfect dark zero
Fable
Jet set radio
Midnight club
@Daniel14 : And throw in the two Stories games as well.
And ideally with their original soundtracks preserved. I believe that rereleases have removed certain songs from these game (including tracks by Kate Bush {SOB!!!}, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Ritchie just to name a few from Vice City).
