Speaking of FF, I hope all of those PS era games that skipped Nintendo come to the Switch. Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts and GTA. Imagine that. It's been odd for people who have nostalgia for the SNES era to see Nintendo get close to Sonic. So imagine if all those PS era "Playstation" games came to Nintendo.
@MarcelRguez IIRC, the rumour stated that it was indeed coming to PS4, no mention of other platforms, but who knows? The I-IX collection sounds a bit far-fetched, but I could see a XIII trilogy happening.
@That-crazy-guy I would love that, considering spirit tracks is probably my favorite handheld Zelda game. Though I wonder how different it would feel playing it with a capacitive touch screen
The upgrade fee thing is bothersome. Nintendos marketing for Zelda seems to indicate a launch sooner rather than later, unless they plan on releasing periodic screen shots for a year. I certainly hope so. At the latest I hope it's a summer game. I'm really excited to see Mario switch though. After 3D World I'm anxious to get back into something more grand in the vain of galaxy or sunshine
@Ersatz On a New 3DS, you can set arts to be triggered with the ZR/ZL buttons, and there's a button combo you can use to trigger one on all versions, though I don't exactly remember what.
About the 20+ new Pokemon for Stars, TPC has always marketed new forms of existing Pokemon as new Pokemon. So that probably means new forms, regional variants (Alola forms), and maybe even Mega Evolutions.
Initial VC won't be large; small upgrade fee required for games already owned on 3DS and Wii U
There's an account system for purchases
If true then My Nintendo and NNIDs are being continued with Switch. Not sure how I feel about that; I don't think the current setup will help to attract potential customers (too convoluted for newbies, too basic for experienced gamers). I'm hoping this is wrong and they have made a new account system but all signs point to this being true.
Charging yet another upgrade fee is just stupid. Unsurprising, but stupid.
@NintyFan Personally I'd be more than satisfied if the list is true. I'm fine paying an upgrade fee on my virtual console games - it's re-purchasing at full price which would bother me. Two third party exclusives on launch day, and an "unexpected new IP" are also a good start, and I'll happily eat up any Pokemon game, especially if there are new Pokemon of some form.
Pokemon Sun and Moon seem to be rare games now, very hard to find and the price increased by 25%. So to me Stars is all but confirmed at this point, use the rarity to force 3DS owners onto Switch meanwhile on the Wii U front the key tactic being abandonment and virtually everything getting ported.
@Grumblevolcano That's some weird logic. Sun/Moon are just in heavy demand. Stock is getting replenished all the time, and I can buy it on Amazon for less than MSRP right now. Doesn't confirm Stars at all.
I think if I walked into any GAME in the UK with £30-40 or any Best Buy or Gamestop in the US of A with $30-40 I would be staggered if I couldn't walk out without a copy of Pokémon Sun/Moon.
I can't believe this has even been purported. Not to mention like practically any major game worth talking about these days it's available in literally infinite supply on the digital storefront. The era of rare games ended with the GameCube/PS2/Wii at latest, aside from very few exceptions that have more to do with their quality or mainstream appeal rather than any masterplan to increase demand.
We're talking about the fastest selling Pokémon games since the originals. In 2016/7.
