Because I have two SD cards and I don't want to buy a 3rd, I feel like I've quickly reached the end of games to download. And some of the rest will be for Mina when that comes out. Which outside of a couple of upcoming games, means the only retail games I really need outside of a couple of upcoming ones are Mario Wonder, Xenoblade 3 and the new Super Monkey Ball. (though there's a few others I'd consider too, especially if I find them cheap enough)
Greater than zero chance I delete DBFighterz, since I never played it and got it as a pretty cheap deal. Or maybe Saints Row 4 if I ever get around to playing through it first, also got that cheap and on a whim.
Either way I already own most of the Switch 1 games I'll play for at least the next few years, even long after Switch 2 whenever it becomes my primary console. Switch 1 backlog alone will already take up a long time, so I guess that's fine.
I'm currently playing Banjo Kazooie on a modern Nintendo system, who I will then play as in Smash Bros when I finally get back to that, fighting Sonic the Hedgehog and Sephiroth, after playing the Marvel vs. Capcom games but before replaying Metroid Dread, possibly around when I'll play Alien Isolation that has objective improvements over the PS4 version despite being a handheld and maybe I'll finally get to play the extra part of The World Ends With You sequel or the Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor that turned into a DKC spiritual successor with both David Wise and Grant Kirkhope making the music.
No one will ever convince me Switch is anything other than peak. Anyone who sees this and disagrees I'm not entirely sure likes video games.
Finished up Dysmantle as well as DDLC. Moving on to Mighty Goose and Cuisineer. Mighty Goose is great, lots of spectacle, but I can tell it's going to be a short experience. Kudos to Dominic Ninmark for the soundtrack in Mighty Goose (and many other games). I'm quickly becoming a fan.
Meanwhile Cuisineer is fun, but the Switch performance is not good.
Bad frame pacing. Lots of hitching when simply running around town, never mind combat.
Began playing Cassette Beasts over the weekend. Great first impression. But with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter in my hands I'm dropping everything for it instead. The Switch port has the Vaseline screen effect, but performance doesn't seem bad.
Really good music and voicework in the first hour. A good sign.
It's funny that I have a good sized backlog on Switch, so of course I'm just doing two different replays instead lol. (to be fair, one of them got substantial updates in the years since I last played through it, but still)
Speaking of which, I'm dangerously close to backing away from the take that Metroid Dread doesn't have memorable music, to my shock. That was my biggest issue with Metroid Dread by a wide margin. I still think its notably worse than nearly any Metroid soundtrack pre-Other M but there is SOMETHING memorable to a lot of the area themes, I will say that. It's like halfway there to being a great Metroid song, but its like they never got there. Or maybe its like...trying to lean into being cold, calculating vibes to fit the game world somehow and its just a bit dull by accident, I dunno.
@kkslider5552000 I've only played Metroid Dread once so far, but the main thing holding me back from rating it a 10 was the music. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't quite epic enough to give me that air-punching feeling of greatness.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
After almost 91 hours, I finished Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
I completed the Pokédex with all 242 Pokémon with research level 10, and with that I got the shiny charm.
And now my biggest dilemma is back, what to play next.
@FishyS Unfortunately, I will only be able to buy the Z-A in November (the pre-order had a setback here in Brazil). It's definitely the game I'm most excited to play.
I hope the Switch version is good enough.

My seller has informed me they have one more Switch Lite OLED for sale. The Pokémon Dialga and Palkia Special Edition for $350. But it's the non-touchscreen version (I negotiated the $450 touchscreen OLED version for $425). Which, I know having touchscreen is preferable but still, for that price I'm not sure touchscreen is needed all that much.
These things are extremely hard to obtain. The one I bought was only the 3rd I've ever seen listed on eBay, and both others were $650+. At the moment only ONE Switch Lite OLED is on eBay- the Pokémon Dialga and Palkia edition that's OLED and touchscreen, for $650. The one my seller has isn't yet listed. I told him I may have a buyer and would get back to him (my modchipper wants one, but they wanted a touchscreen version and aren't willing to pay $650 for one. So I left them a message saying I could get them one for $350 without touch support.
If they pass on it though, the offer will be extended to anyone here who may be interested. I can have them list it on eBay if someone wants it.

I just ordered a Switch Lite OLED with touchscreen support.
My comment was removed for "piracy/emulation" but I spoke nothing about pirating or emulating, because I dont pirate and I don't emulate. I said I was having it chipped so I could overclock my purchased games. Thats not pirating. Thats not emulating. Its not providing links to roms, or providing instructions how to emulate. Its not even talking about roms or emulating.
I'll chalk that up to a misunderstanding. But let this comment provide clarification so there's no mistaking my post for anything illegal.

So I don't know where else to talk about this, but it is a Switch game so...
Pokemon leak where Gamefreak basically acknowledges BD/SP wasn't what it should have been is vindication. How dare you take the last gen I fully got into it, with its lovely DS era graphics and turn it into bland 3d trash and then price more while offering less than Platinum in 2009. It's like the logical endpoint to the underwhelming graphics for the NSMB games, Megaman 11, Secret of Mana remake etc. Stop replacing lovely retro graphics with 3D mediocrity in the lamest way to "modernize" a game's look. It sucks, it sucks, it sucks, it is the death of charming art styles, make every remake and re-imagining an HD-2D if this is the alternative. I hate this trend.

I liked the chibi style in BD/SP but I would hate it if a bunch of Pokemon games used it just like I have gotten tired of the Squenix HD-2D style even though it was lovely the first time. Variety is definitely where it's at.

I don't even hate the art style on its own. It just...exists. I hate that they replaced more appealing graphics to be "more modern", cut content, charged more and sold 20 million.
The whole completely avoidable gen 9 disaster a year later didn't help.
