@Grumblevolcano and I think we could see a Kirby announcement for the regular Switch sometime down the line because that seems to be a trend with Nintendo to end a console with a Kirby remaster or port.
Unicorn Overloard and the Shiren the Wanderer 6 are gonna take up a lot of my time next year. I may try to hold out for an english version of Shiren. I may get the new fit boxing spin off though since it is currently Japan only I am expecting decent music.

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
The remake of Mario vs DK is the only thing that really has my interest 1st party wise for early next year. Undecided on the Peach game. Otherwise it's 3rd party titles (Tomb Raider trilogy, Apollo Justice trilogy) for me.
Looks like a lot of time to work on my backlog, at least until TTYD releases!
Don't know whether the announcement was coinciding with the Japan Direct but Star Ocean The Second Story R and Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince have just got demos.
I thought the Direct was weak. Not because there wasn't anything I'm interested in, more that nothing kinda jumped up the list of stuff I already want to play (if you get me.) Mario is going to do a lot of heavy lifting this holiday season lol.
But yeah, this Direct screamed new hardware next year to me. Come on Switch, you still have about 25 million more units to sell before then!
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@Grumblevolcano speaking of demo, anyone still remember the demo for Pokemon Alpha Sappire/Omega Ruby few years back where the demo gave you freebie items to transfer over to the full game?
The Star ocean 2 demo ill have to try it out this weekend and maybe the demo for the new Disgaea game even though I never bought any of the previous Disgaea games
It's weird that Nintendo has released multiple comparable remakes for 60 dollars and people are shocked one of them is 50, as if Nintendo wouldn't charge that much.
But its also weird Nintendo could remake 2 GBA games in one for 60 with Advance Wars, and suddenly only now is it not worth buying.
Overall all todays Direct was rather lacking in my opinion. There wasn’t any announcements today that really made me excited about. Many of them we already knew about from previous directs.
I thought the Direct rocked. I'm so stoked for Wonder, the Peach game, Mario RPG, and I never did play the Mario Minis game(s), but I LOVED Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the original Gameboy when I was a little kid.
That "code" game from the DS looks interesting, too (sorry, I'm not bothering to go back and look up titles haha), and of course Thousand Year Door is gonna be a buy because I never owned a Gamecube yet I love the Paper Mario series.
Yea, it frickin' rocked. This is definitely Switch's last year, but I have half a dozen games at least from this Direct that I'll be buying day one.
@GameOtaku That’s understandable as Nintendo’s approach seems to be focused mostly on remasters and remakes to coast them through the next 12 months or so in the run up to the next console where the big new releases will launch.

So I had a look, and if this really is the final 12 months for the Switch as the main system, its the most stacked a Nintendo system has been in its run down, just in terms of first party published titles.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

To be fair, a lot of the time there were two main systems. As the single main system, Switch has had to be fairly stacked all along.
@FishyS True, but even if you look at the Wii and DS that transitioned almost simultaneously, the drop off in content is stark. Wii U/3DS also wasn't great, even though 3DS got a few games per year after.

@Haruki_NLI
Hard to judge because the releases didn't usually overlap. I would note that both the DS and the Wii got a Zelda game in their last years but you're also right I think. Outside of Skyward Sword and Spirit Tracks there wasn't a whole lot. Mario & Luigi, Mario Party 9, Kirby's Return to Dreamland. Not exactly heavy hitters..... although Pokemon lingered around on DS for a while so there's that
