I'm certain that Switch will be the best selling system this holiday season. Switch has an insane software lineup approaching, PS5 is getting a price increase outside the US and Xbox still has big software lineup issues.
Splatoon 3 I already know will be fire just based on the last two entries. But Harvestella is a new IP, and I was curious what the ground level gameplay would be like.
So far I'm pleased with what I'm seeing.

Welp Harvestella is bumped up to day 1. Looks right up my alley.

You can, however, import from Amazon Italy and get the same exact Limited Edition Splatoon 3 Switch OLED for $340 USD shipped. This is thanks to the European VAT tax being baked into the price of every item, and it being subtracted off the total for anyone ordering from outside the EU. It's not as cheap as the Amazon France listing but that's long sold out, and it is still $40 cheaper than buying at MSRP in the US.
I've always contended NSMBU is an amazing 2D platformer. Not as good as the DKC games, but up there.
Sure, the art style is generic, but it looks clean and pleasant to the eyes. The real issue is the fact 4 games in the series exist, often with entire segments of levels copy pasted. So if one were to play all 4 back to back, they would quickly grow tired of it. But if you ignore the previous 3 and only play NSMBU (and the excellent NSLU), it's a fantastic experience.
Rayman Origins and Legends are also great platformers though. Just... different. First time I played Legends I hated it. Controls felt floaty and just didn't seem right. But as I played more and got used to it, I eventually started doing time trial runs like I used to do in DKC Tropical Freeze. The game became an obsession for me back on Wii U. It's really good.
Capcom's TGS lineup makes me think the Battle Network Collection will be an early 2023 release. The lineup is:
Sunbreak
RE Village Gold Edition
SF6
Exoprimal
Battle Network Collection
There's not really much to say about the collection, it's a collection of old games where the extra features were already shown off in the Partner Showcase so I think release date makes most sense. As for thinking early 2023, the TGS lineup doesn't include RE4 Remake and that's a huge Spring 2023 release.
@Grumblevolcano Do you think they'll do any surprises this time round? New Ace Attorney games tend to get announced at TGS from my understanding and I'm holding on to any sense of hope that Apollo will come home.
Also, bit weird for there to be a SF6 presence at the regular TGS when it's getting it's own dedicated showcase (or at least that's what I've heard is happening).

I've got Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and am in the final chapter with loads of sidequests to still do. And I've got Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, with all the endgame content and title update content to do. And I've got Portal 1 and 2 for after that. Which I've been waiting on to go handheld for 10 years...
And yet, I don't feel satisfied. Because all I can think about is the 30 day stretch from Oct 6th to Nov 6th, when Nier Automata, Bayonetta 3, Persona 5 Royal, No Man's Sky, Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Harvestella release.
I feel so antsy... so anxious. It's like I derive more joy from the anticipation of upcoming titles than I do playing the current titles I have. That's probably not true, actually. I enjoy playing games far more. But still. The fact remains I can't stop thinking about that upcoming spread.

@Fizza The TGS lineup is 2 showcases, one for SF6 and one for everything else. As for surprises, it's possible. Capcom did announce a Dragon's Dogma 10th anniversary stream in the last showcase which would then announce Dragon's Dogma 2. More Ace Attorney sounds like the kind of announcement they'd give Nintendo though as much like Mega Man, the franchise is most associated with Nintendo systems.
@Grumblevolcano True, but the last 2 major AA announcements weren't done with Nintendo at all from my understanding (original trilogy HD rerelease and TGAA localisation), they were done at Capcom's own showcases. I could be wrong on that since it was so long ago at this point but I'm pretty sure that's been the case ever since the Switch came out at least.

@KilloWertz
You should definitely play it, whenever you have time.
Not only is it the best JRPG on Switch, imo, it's the best JRPG I've ever played. And I don't say that lightly. Xenoblade Chronicles was always one of the best JRPG series that could stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of the genre. But this one goes above and beyond.
Oftentimes I'll play a game that's clearly one of the best I've experienced, but I find it hard to rank it compared to others. Because once a game is so good, it's kind of hard to compare. But not so with XC3- this one is easy to rank. It's my new favorite JRPG.
Obviously not everyone will agree on how games rank and compare as it is a subjective assessment. But at the very least, I think you'll find it an incredible game worth experiencing.

I don't know if this is the place to ask about this so if its not relevant, please let me know so I can delete it.
I'm getting the switch OLED this year but I'm getting it from my brother who is from US. Problem is that US region is gonna come with it's version of the AC adapter which isn't compatable in my home. The one I'm using is the UK one with three prongs.
But the issue is that there is no official Nintendo seal in there and I'm not able to tell whether I will get the official one or a third party one as that one can potentially damage the Switch OLED when it arrives.
Can anyone who is from UK or with experience confirm that play Asia is selling me the official switch AC adapter from Europe by Nintendo?
