@MarcelRguez someone posted a tweet a few weeks ago from her with the #octoberreveal hash tag. I'll look for it now.

Edit: Oh September. Alright I'll try and see. Though I'm not sure why people defend her so much considering so much of what she predicts is wrong

Edit 2: it seems the euro gamer report mentioned a September reveal and she backed up the euro gamer report as a whole, so that's probably why people associate her with the September reveal as well.

@MarcelRguez she doesn't deserve bile. But she isn't exactly someone we should look to when looking for accurate information. At least, not any more than anyone else that claims to have inside knowledge.

@MarcelRguez Most likely it's because sites give her more attention than most other "insider knowledge" people. More attention means more criticisms when your stuff turns up to be false. Sucks, but it's true.

I got PC magazines which talked about the newest HDDs, GPUs and Motherboards. I sometimes got PC gaming magazines but not that often. So it's not like I wasn't an enthusiast I was just more enthusiastic about a different kind of tech.

But as a kid I did collect toy catalogues, specifically for information about new Gameboy games. I watched a kids game show in Australia called "Amazing" which was sponsored by Nintendo Australia. And you can imagine what that meant. Fantastic marketing, that's what. I also, as I think everyone here probably still does, wander through the game section at the shops. Which meant playing the demo kiosk. It was at a demo kiosk that I first saw the N64, GC and GBA.

Basically what I'm saying is that before the Wii and DS I was largely isolated from Nintendo news. Mostly because I didn't really care that much. I never knew about any of their stuff they had until well after it was available for purchase. That never stopped me buying into their platforms. And on the same token I don't think that the NX not being announced yet is hurting them to the degree that some here want to think. Really, we're just being impatient and don't want to put it as bluntly as that.

As I've said before regarding Emily Rogers, if she truly does have sources how come the closer we get to a reveal the quieter she goes. Surely her developer friends would know more by now having spent time with the development kits.

I believe people like her need to feel wanted in a certain community so she has a "clever" plan where she reels of a list of possibilities and celebrates when she gets a couple of things right.

Then the next time leaks are required for a new console, she pops up with a tease like "PS5 details coming soon" gathers as much info as possible, and posts a bit later.
In the meantime all the new forum crew asks if she is reliable, and the older forum crew say "she guessed this or that right regarding the NX" giving her a small amount of credibility.

@DjLewe78 She is the equivalent of The National Enquirer or The Daily Sport. It is amazing how much credence she seems to have whilst having actually very little.

SMD just posted this video. Seems like Eurogamer confused the NX with something else entirely. LOL

@Bluefiregamer Well, Eurogamer claimed they had seen a dev kit, wasn't it? Kinda difficult to mistake this for a Nintendo product I'd think. So I don't know how much stock I'd put in that idea. I honestly don't know. However, it is LITERALLY the NX like how Eurogamer described...

Anyway, if that's the NX, then they surely aren't that original anymore

The rumours have dried right up. The way the company CEO's speak about the NX, it doesn't sound like the rumours that came from the likes of Eurogamer and Emily Rogers.

I think the NX is going to heavily interact with smart phones and Nintendo are working on a lot of apps for it. I've no idea what power the thing will have but if it's not comparable to the competition then it's screwed before it even sets sail.

@Bluefiregamer thank for Sharing I never watch SMD stuff. The thought that the rumour could be wrong and we still have no clue what Nintendo upto is kind of exciting.

@Skywake I forgot about the Razer PC Tablet LOL. That was 2013. I bet if they made a new one it would be twice as powerful as the one that was shown there.

@Octane I still think it's going to be a Home Console that is gonna be revealed. I could be wrong but that is just my opinion.

The thing is, it's not like the NX concept as described is new. There have been tablet like devices attempting to be portable console competitors for a while now. Whether that's an accessory, a dedicated device or some combination. To some degree even the Wii U is kinda like the NX concept in that regard.

So I don't know why it's at all surprising that some random company has created a product like this. And anyways, the Eurogamer rumour was what, July? And I think it's fair to say, based on the media reaction, they had been sitting on it for a while. It really doesn't take that long to churn out a prototype. For all we know they're basing that device on the NX itself.

Hypothetically ignoring all the rumours what if the NX is just HD DS? Not a Hybrid! has 3ds backwards compatibility, Wii U ports and future Wii U/HD DS joint releases. Would it Sell or go down is flaming glory?

I'd honestly like that a lot, anything to allow the Wii U to get more games after Color Splash.
