Just a heads-up. If you buy a $50 eshop card on Newegg, they'll give you a $10 card for free. You can do this two times, so you can spend $100 and get $120 worth of credit.

Games from Nippon Columbia are well known with their cuteness since from NDS and 3DS era (Akogare Girls Collection, Sumikko Gurashi, Kirei Zukin Seikatsu, Mame Goma, Rilakkuma, etc).
I really hope Nippon Columbia is still supporting Switch with their Akogare Girls series, Sumikko Gurashi series and another cute IPs.

I saw that earlier today, but it said sold out

@JaxonH Guess it was a limited supply thing. Those tend to go pretty quickly. I ordered one just after posting about it, thankfully. Seemed like too good a deal to pass up. Especially now that I have a 256GB card (managed to order one via Google Express for $39.99 after a promotional discount).

Good move; you’re gonna need it. I feel like 256gb is the first level of actual respectable size storage one could have. Anything less... yikes.
I’ve been debating on Dynasty Warriors 8, Naruto Trilogy and Atelier Trilogy. But at 16gb -25gb each, and being digital only... that is a hard sell. Especially all 3 since that would be nearly 60gb (that’s over 10% of the max storage possible of 544gb).

@JaxonH I feel like 128GB would have held out for me for a while longer if I was primarily buying physical games, but the vast majority of my purchases, retail or otherwise, are digital, so I needed a bigger card. I figure I'll probably need to upgrade to a 400GB at some point, but hopefully the price has sunk a bit more by the time I upgrade.
It's so weird. I was and still am very opposed to digital purchases on my Wii U (other than a handful of VC releases that were on sale, I've never bought anything digitally on that system), but, for some reason, I feel myself very drawn to the convenience of portability on Switch. Kind of like how I was with the Vita, where I bought virtually nothing physically.

Only Switch can actually expand to 544gb, whereas Vita was stick with 33gb/65gb if you imported the 64gb card from Japan. I definitely understand what you mean . I see a lot of people (myself included) buying digital games who, beforehand, were diametrically opposed to digital. Although I will say, it’s something nice having a classic game on a cartridge. It’s just also something nice to have all your games on your system at all times ready to go at a moments notice

@JaxonH@Ralizah hope you guys don't mind if i chime in. I used to be only physical releases myself, even with the switch. As of late( 6 months or so), I find myself going digitally more. Even for some games I can get physically. Changing a game card out on the switch is kind of a pain imo.. it's not as easy as other systems so digital really comes handy. I had a 32gb sd card last me almost 2 years and it wasn't until recently I finally put in my 128gb card that I actually got as a gift back in December of 2017.i have a feeling as time goes on, I'm going to be going more digital and that 128gb card won't last nearly as long as the 32gb did.i used to shy away from big downloads too, but now im more open to them. All and all, if everythings equal, I'll probabaly go physical. Especially if im getting Amazon discounts on those physical games. But as of late with Amazon dropping the discounts, And Nintendo giving double gold points on digital purchases, I'll be more inclined to go digitial.
Not to mention, the archive tool has kept me going with both sd cards. What a gem!
If technology had advanced enough that 2TB microSD cards existed and were at a decent price, I may have bought more digital games (most of my XB1 games are digital) but that still seems years away. By the time that happens, Nintendo will have probably moved onto something else.
@Grumblevolcano
I mean, they do have 512gb cards. And with the new Nyko plastic kickstand (that doesnt risk damaging the latch) that stores a spare to keep on you at all times, that's 1.056 terabytes of storage... for a portable system.
Even just one 512gb card can go a long ways. I may need 3 of them, but I'm an outlier. You could probably get some serious mileage out of a 512gb card.

@JaxonH Unless next gen consoles destroy future 3rd party support for Switch, that won't be enough for the Switch's lifespan. I'm torn on whether that'll happen as Smash may now be a bargaining chip for future 3rd party support.
@Grumblevolcano
Next gen consoles are still a ways out. Holiday 2020 at the soonest.
And even then, games will cross generational for at least the first 2 years. That puts us at holiday 2022, which is right at the turn of 2023, which by that point the Switch will be 6 years old.
And even then, not every game is super realistic and demanding. Games like Tales of will always be scalable to Switch. 7th gen ports will always be viable for Switch. Exclusives will always be viable on Switch.
At the end of the day, it's a concern we wont have to even begin to worry about until Switch lifespan is basically over, and even then there'll be so many games that are still viable choices, it wont be an issue.
But if you split between digital and physical, and only buy digital for the best % of games, it can fit. If you buy 200 games, only buy the top 25% digitally. If you buy 100 games, buy the top 50% digitally, etc

@JaxonH I disagree about holiday 2020 being the soonest, I'd say holiday 2020 is the latest. But that aside, I'm not just talking about power. It's pretty obvious that Sony already sees the Switch as a threat and I wonder whether the gatekeeping is going to increase with next gen.
@Grumblevolcano
Now that's a genuine concern. Power... meh. Success trumps power every day of the week. Games will come as long as its successful. 3DS got lots of 3rd party games and it's basically a calculator. But cockblocking... that is a real concern. Success breeds such contempt.
Fortunately, new systems have to start over with the install base, meaning that, if they pay for a game to skip Switch or Switch/Xbox, the dev is going to be missing a huge relative chunk of their sales. So they're gonna have to pony up (pun definitely intended) some serious coin if they want to run that nonsense in the early days of next gen.
