@YummyHappyPills I agree with the first point. As for the second point - I initially thought so too but Octane made a good point - the games usually always released in the second half of the year in early fall or late fall. Yes, to people outside of Japan, the games seemed like they released in the spring. But that was because they were being localized. Those same games (like Black and White, for example) released early fall in Japan. So Game Freak has always targeted the fall as the time to release the games.

Interesting how release dates have only truly been worldwide a total of twice. Also interesting some games have released in Japan early in the year, though very few.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@YummyHappyPills To be fair, even though OR/AS and S/M were not technically worldwide releases, for all intents and purposes for comparing, they basically are. A week difference isn't drastic enough of a difference, at that point the releases were essentially worldwide as well. So I would say four games were worldwide - the most recent four.

Dude, people love the console ports, at leas the Diablo III one. It's not THE way to play, I'll give you that. I do my "actual" Diablo playing (whatever that means lol) on my PC, of course, but the console version is fun to just mindlessly mess around on for a bit.
Switch would be perfect. But I do expect we'll see AT LEAST Hearthstone on the Switch soon, and maybe that will come along with a Diablo surprise?
Numbers in brackets are previous positions based on: 25/02/2018 (Unless they haven't moved) 1: Bayonetta 2: Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition (Up from 3rd) 3: Stardew Valley (Up from 4th) 4: Bayonetta 2 (Up from 5th) 5: Rocket League (Down from 2nd) 6: Arcade Archives: VS. Super Mario Bros. 7: Celeste (Up from 8th) 8: Fe (Up from not charting!) 9: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Up from 15) 10: Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus (NEW) (Up from not charting)* 11: Sonic Mania (Up from not charting) 12: Overcooked: Special Edition (Down from 7th) 13: Human Fall Flat (Down from 10th) 14: Super Mario Odyssey (Up from not charting) 15: Dragon Quest Builders (Up from not charting)
This has been wild. Bayo still top and DQ Builders re entering while Bayo 2 keeps climbing. Super Mario Odyssey is back, Mario Kart shot up, alongside Sonic Maia and Fe appearing from nowhere. And Pac-Man is charting!
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@rallydefault Oooooh and Gwent. Now you've done it. These games would be great for Switch. Needs to have a robust AI for single player though for those times without wifi. I can imagine local play at tournaments and such.
You need to register your physical Switch purchases within 12 months of their street release date. Meaning time is almost up to get Gold coins back for the Switch launch games if this silly rule is in fact true.

Kills points for preowned games at which point Nintendo would be giving away money for nothing at all. One purchase of a game could be several gold point checks if this doesnt occur and you could game the system.
Imagine...someone buys BOTW, gets the points as its a new game on their account...then sells it. Someone buys that copy, Nintendo sees none of that purchase, but because its a new game on the preowned buyers account...they get points
Solution: Include a one-time-use code in the box. Problem solved. You are already getting screwed over if you buy physical, because it's only 20% of the gold points, and now they expire too. So if anyone buys BOTW next week, it's worth nothing in terms of gold points, even if it's a new game. I wonder why physical is even included in the rewards programme in the first place.
That's not what the console shows, when you press start on any full game tile and go down to "My Nintendo Rewards Programme" it says:
"Registration of a game card is possible for two years from the official release date of the game. For software purchases on Nintendo eShop and download code redemptions, you will receive points automatically."
So if it really is changing to 1 year there must be a Switch system update when the new My Nintendo system goes live later this month.
@Grumblevolcano Funny you say that, there's lots of maintenance planned for Monday including with MyNintendo, as well as purchasing on the Nintendo Store. Looks like the new system will be going live on Monday then.
