I wish there was a way to view Switch maintenance on the console itself and no, I don't mean add a web browser to Switch. It's rather annoying to get a bunch of disconnects in Splatoon 2 such that the disconnect warning is given only to find out it was because of Switch maintenance.

On another note, there's new hint art for Mario Odyssey.

Saw Victor Vran coming to Switch, and initially dismissed it being published by Maximum or some AA publisher, figured it would be shovelware...

Apparently I was wrong.

As it turns out, it's actually a pretty well reviewed, fully fledged PC game by the developers of Tropico which was brought over to consoles. Similar to Diablo, I guess. The console versions actually just released last summer. Take a look

Does anyone know what linking your Nintendo Account to social media does?

Does it just make it easier to post screenshots to those services, and/or is your entire game library viewable by your social media friends? Let's say I bought a game off the eShop, would all my social media followers get a notification that I had done so, or can you restrict that?

No. It's just for posting screenshots to social media and (now, as of update 5.0) sending friend invites to friends from your social media account who also have a Switch. That's it.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Perfect. I might actually pick up some of these games that support TATE mode if there's a comfortable way to play them.

LAN = Local Area Network (i.e. devices on your side of the router)

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is unsurprisingly skipping Switch.

It doesn't come as a surprise, but it still is a dissapointment. That reminds me why I need to get myself a gaming notebook to replace my current one...

Super Bomberman R is launching on other platforms with exclusive characters at a lower price.

So not only do we have the most expensive veraion but also the one with the least content. Neat.

Wonder why when a game is ported from Nintendo to other platforms it ends up cheaper...but the reverse happens if its ported TO Nintendo.

@YummyHappyPills Well we did get Earth Wars for £4. I can't think of any other examples though. I'm sure Super Bomberman R will get a price cut and the new content added as an update. I've read Konami have been quite good with updating the game since it released.

Something I just noticed, when bringing the Switch out of sleep mode it's already connected to WiFi. No 5 second+ delay. Must have been added in the last update.
