@JaxonH The Amazon Spain release date for Mario Tennis Aces is very likely just a placeholder (other games with the vague Spring release date are being listed there with the same date). If it does end up being the actual release date, that would be one extremely weak first half of the year. I have so much to play that it wouldn't really matter either way but it would show that Nintendo is relying too heavily on Labo.
@Shellcore I still don't believe we're seeing the PS5 by next year. The PS4's momentum is way too good to release a new console this soon. 2020 I think.
I never understood the insecurities and worries from a couple months with lower key releases.
As a Switch owner (with a morbidly obese backlog from other hardware) these months aren't an issue, but in terms of Switch's prospects overall, it is an issue.
This is not the only site where people are vocalising doubts, and that can only negatively impact non-Switch owners' perception and possibly dent Switch's momentum.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@Octane@Shellcore I think either could happen, sure the PS4 momentum is strong but 3DS momentum being strong didn't stop Nintendo from releasing the Switch last year.
I caved in and got Kirby digitally. With Amazon/Nintendos track record with delivering to me here being lol wut, and Amazon saying delivery on the 17th earliest, I said no. I'll just preload it.
I could go to a store but the nearest one that stocks Nintendo stuff is in a city a good 12 miles away. Even then Id doubt they'd stock this as this is the UK, so shelf space is reserved for the big names.

@Grumblevolcano Different situation I think. The 3DS hardware sales were dropping ever since 2013. Last year saw a small increase, but it definitely peaked in 2012/2013. The PS4's strongest year was last year, and who knows what will happen this year. 2017 for Nintendo was very different than 2019 for Sony. Nintendo had one system that did pretty well, but had clearly surpassed its peak in momentum, and a system that barely got any games in 2016 and is Nintendo's worst selling home console.
@YummyHappyPills Aren't there other stores you can order from? Like Game or GameStop? Or an online retailer?
@Octane Amazon - Listed it for the 17th, failed charging me for Sonic Forces and didn't tell me until Launch day, delivered Pokemon Ultra Moon 4 days late despite saying it was delivered on time.
Nintendo UK - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 came via a different courier than listed, came late. Same for my Switch. Same for Splatoon 2.
GAME - Not at those prices sunshine.
Sainsburys/Tesco/ASDA - Nintendo? Whats that?
Toys-R-Us - Le Ded.
Smyths - Nearest is a few cities over
I could go into a store, but not in this weather, on my foot, to a store 12 miles away.

@YummyHappyPills Half of those are general supermarkets. You don't have online dedicated video game stores in the UK? We've got several dozen of them, they always deliver in time, and their prices are very good.
@Octane I am aware they exist. I simply wont use them.
Why are you so intent on pushing me towards physical when I have explained why I'm not going for it on this particular instance, listing problems with numerous other physical distribution methods?
Before you say space on your Switch, Kirby is 2.8GBs (Somehow!)
If a bigger game comes out that I don't want to download or wont have the funds to afford digitally, then sure, I'll keep in mind more independent retailers online. Of course that also depends on the weather as apparently tomorrow my area has a blizzard coming. Suddenly. Probably not but ya know. By May and the release of Dark Souls we could be in a desert for all I know with this country. XD

@YummyHappyPills Well, you were talking as if the only reason you went digital is because you had no other choice, so I listed a few stores you could try, that's all.
@Grumblevolcano
Idk about any Spain release date. But I don't think rearranging the dates makes it "bad" or "good". These are the games leading up to e3. Game a month. That's as good as I can ever reasonably hope.
@gcunit
Ya but people "express concern" over practically everything. At a game a month people just need to sit back and chill. Watch us get Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and 2 other not-yet-announced games the second half of the year (probably Smash Bros and Pikmin 4) and people are gonna be all hyped up and loving it, and then 2019 will come around and they'll release a few lower key titles. maybe a port or 2, and people will be rihjt back at it

@G0dlike Seeing that the last presentation was called 'the 2017 Switch presentation' I just assumed it was going to be an annual event...so 2018 Switch presentation for next week! (I doubt it will happen though) But they have lots to talk about in it, showcasing Labo, discussing online, revealing Fire Emblem and highlighting their third party partnerships. Switch year one ended with Bayonetta. Hardly a flat year, but they haven't really revealed anything to make the industry stand up anywhere near as much as Odyssey and BotW for Year 2 (edit* ok I think Labo might from a leftfield perspective)...even though technically it doesn't start until Sunday and starts with Kirby ^^
There's loads of options to order Nintendo games in the UK. There's also several options to buy them cheaper digitally than the Eshop price. As for Amazon, I've been using them for years, ordered tons of stuff and never once had a single issue with them. They might be an awful company to work for but when it comes to online shopping and customer satisfaction, they're second to none.
