@OorWullie Anything in the September TBD list most likely won't come out in September. Some might though.

In the September list there's a couple of errors. Morphite is releasing on September 7, and Touhou Kobuto V got delayed to October

@IceClimbers actually, Morphite just got delayed to September 21st. And yeah most of the September TBD listings aren't based on any tangible release dates, I dunno where he's got all that stuff from

Most of the games from the September TBD list are either games delayed from August or new ones that appeared in the Switch eShop without a date and are presumed to release soon (around the next weeks). They can of course delay again into October for all I know.

Sux that Sine Mora Ex is 10 bucks more for Switch tarriffs. Ill wait and get it on sale digitally on PSN.

@Samus7Killer - There is easily a sale on Sine Mora EX after its release. Namely to probably encourage warehouse depletion. So it's probably going to be a race and what you technically desire more.

On another note, just browsed the eShop a bit and looked over the best sellers. I am surprised, with how many venues Minecraft has for players, it seems to maintain sales steadily to keep in the list since its release. ARMS isn't even keeping that momentum up. Various other titles keep on and off in the sales, which shows even early games are getting some sales.

Another thing is I am saddened how littler Snake Pass gets love outside the initial release burst. Only times it ever appeared was its release week and their weekly sale. Which I feel more people need to give that game a fair shake. Definitely a gem for Switch.

It's actually only $4.74 more than other versions on Amazon.

MSRP =/= actual price. You can't compare the MSRP of a game with the actual price of a Switch game. MSRP is often €10 more on the Switch, but you can probably find either version for a few bucks less.

IceClimbers

@Octane In the US they're the same for new releases

@IceClimbers Look at the link above my post, it's discounted on Amazon. So you can find new releases for less than the MSRP at launch.

@Samus7Killer Ungrateful much? Carts offer faster load times, better durability and take up far less physical space yet you seem intent on quibbling over a few dollars more. The reality is they cost significantly more to manufacture. Factoring in the cost of porting for developers is also important as it takes up a great deal of valuable time and resources. This needs to be recouped somehow. For the vast majority of players, carts are worth the extra cost as they understand the sacrifice developers make in getting their games onto the system. If you want cheaper titles from these Switch developers in the future, the only only way to achieve that is to reduce their liabilities by buying their games.

me buying the game now on a superiour console at a cheaper price makes me ungreatful?
Id rather play the game now at a lower cost than pay double the price a few months down the line. Thats using logic. Youre being emotional about this clearly.

@Joytendo22 Wait no... That doesn't make sense at all. Yes, porting isn't free, but they're not making the game from scratch, so by default a port is less expensive to make than a brand new game. Therefore, for that reason alone, it doesn't make any sense that a port on the Switch would be more expensive than the PS4 and PC versions were.

The issue is that publishers can't just manufacture the cards like they can with Blu-Rays, they need to order them through Nintendo and they're more expensive in lower quantities. So the lower the sales expectations are, the lower the production run and the more expensive the game is.

Of course, they're also asking full price for the game when ports of older games are often already reduced in price on other systems.

Switch cartridge tarrifs are a real thing. And not only that, but 3rd party versions and indies get delayed... look at RYME for example.

Ya, some of the smaller games do cost more and come later. Probably because the system just landed on the market so a lot of these games were already in development for the other systems. I think as time goes on they'll release at the same time. But in either case... it's worth it. I'm waiting for Ryme. So is my brother actually, and he's really big into PC (PS4 before that, but he's kind of moved on from that now). I was surprised because usually he says he'll get everything on Steam for like five dollars but, nope. He wants it on Switch- he wants that portability. And I totally get it. So do I.

@Octane
Nobody was trying to compare "MSRP vs actual price". This wasn't an argument to say " but they're not really charging that much more".

This was me simply saying, yes it is retailing for $10 more however, you don't have to pay $10 more. And if paying $10 more it was actually the thing that was hanging you up then maybe it won't hang you up because you don't have to pay $10 more"

This is about just helping somebody out and telling them hey, you can get it cheaper.

First his hang up was that it cost $10 more, then when I try to help and say hey it's really only a couple dollars more, then he claims he can get the other one for 15.... which I don't see it that cheap anywhere but fine.

edit
Or maybe you weren't responding to me, in which case... never mind.

@JaxonH I know. But the MSRP is $10 more. If you can find the Switch version for cheaper, you can probably find the PC/PS4/Xbox version for cheaper too, so the difference is probably still the same.

Maybe not in this case, but I can find most games for less than the MSRP at launch, so the difference will probably stay the same.

It also depends on the game and where you live I guess. In the case of Sine Mora EX (just had a look online), since we don't have Amazon, we don't get that nice $5 discount. The cheapest Switch version I can find is €29.75, a bit below the MSRP, so as expected. The PS4 and Xbox versions are €16.50 on the same site, €3.49 less than the MSRP (that's pretty common too). So in my case I would end up paying twice as much for the Switch version. Even if I could find the Switch game for €26.50 (same €3.49 discount), the difference would still be €10.

The main issue is just that cards are expensive, especially in small quantities. Meaning that indie and niche titles that don't expect >million sales are probably going to end up be more expensive on the Switch (physical at least).

In this day and age, if you're not getting some kind of discount on your games, even new releases, you're doing it wrong. Even Switch physical games. All of the big retailers have discount programs in place, many on brand-new games, and you always have fall-back options in used programs like GameStop's or numerous online outlets if you're willing to wait a week or so.

I can't remember the last time I paid full price for a game. If you're not finding discounts, you're not looking hard enough.

@rallydefault Then I'm not "looking hard enough". I get a "discount" by pre-ordering and not having to pay shipping costs at my local retailer. So far as I'm aware, they don't have any discount program.

Anyways, what game releases for September do you plan to purchase?
