@Tsurii Well Pokken is one of the few remaining Wii U games in which porting makes sense. I've said for a while that these would make the most sense:

• Mario Kart 8 (already exists)
• Smash (all but confirmed)
• Pokken
• Super Mario Maker

Before the Switch reveal in January I also said Splatoon but that got a sequel instead.

What do you mean? I would love to touch tanks...

To me Switch's biggest sales enemy this year is supply problems. they are battling other companies like Apple for more parts to ramp up production.

I'd love to see a deluxe version of Hyrule Warriors that combines the HD visuals of the Wii U version with the extra content from the 3DS release. I doubt they'll re-release it again, though.

I actually really liked the story in Dark Ruin. It gave it the edge it needed to be more interesting and fun at the same time. I'm all for a deeper story but not so much relationships in Advance Wars.

This now needs to happen, you realize.

@MarcelRguez For some reason everyone loved the dark theme presented in Days of Ruin. So... everyone (except me)?

Only thing I remember from that Days of Ruin's story, was that I hated that doctor...I like Isabella, don't make jokes about her dying! >.<

@Vee_Flames I liked the story because it made me choose sides and actually hate some characters. Like the mayor for instance. Unfortunately it made me fell that's the way people can be at time especially when they're scared of the future.

The only thing I remember about the one Advance Wars DS game I ever had was making my own maps and RP'ing on them by myself. Same thing I do for the Worms franchise really.

So... I won't be able to get one during the holidays when Odyssey comes out? At least now I have a reason to keep complaining about Nintendo for the reminder of this year.

I think maybe the reason Advance Wars never caught on like FE is precisely because the appeal was gameplay only.

The support conversations of Fire Emblem are what really elevated it beyond just a great strategy game, to a timeless strategy game. Connecting with characters, following intriguing dialogue and an interesting story are what makes a good game a great game, or a great game a fantastic game you'll fall in love with.

Echoes is a perfect example I think. It has absolutely no inclusion of any "dating" aspects, yet it preserves the crucial support system and is fantastic for it. In fact, despite its drab route the enemy maps, it's one of the most engaging and interesting FE games I've ever played. And the reason is the excellent support convos, the dialog in towns and castles and at Mila Statues, and the addiction of ranking up compatible support members.

I think if Advance Wars had that- doesn't necessarily have to be serious like FE either- it could be a lighthearted story but with interesting and lovable characters and top shelf voice acting like a Echoes- I think if it had that it would be every bit as popular as FE.

Clearly they just need to put in a tank petting minigame and then remove it from the localization to drum up controversy.
