What do you think of the anti-piracy DRM, Denuvo coming to switch? - Nintendo Switch Forum

So I found a read this news article: https://www.ign.com/articles/anti-piracy-software-denuvo-anno... and that got me thinking... 🤔💭 based on a lot of things I've read on the internet, and some people I've talked to before, Denuvo is practically useless, and it also causes FPS drop on PC's, and since the switch is a handheld, it could probably suffer more performance-wise compared to PCs.... and also, a majority of public opinion says that denuvo DRM basically does not stop piracy at all, it probably slows it down just for a few days, then the crack is out. some people I've talked to also says that even if they've bought a game on steam for example, and it has DRM, the still download the crack for it, just to get rid of the headaches it causes. so basically, it doesn't stop piracy, and makes playing games more annoying by introducing performance issues. what do you guys think about this? also here's an informational article if you don't know what Denuvo DRM is: 👇 🔻 What Is Denuvo, and Why Do Gamers Hate It?

I seem to also remember seeing something like this regarding the online connection not being required but forgot where, but if its the case that does alleviate some of my paranoia regarding this.
(the periodic online checks are the main reason i avoid most service based stuff outside of MMOs or other online only games)

But yeah am curious regarding the differences between this and the one used on PC.
