Topic: What are the secret great games of Switch?

As I have other gaming systems I use my Switch mainly for the classic and well known exclusive games for Switch 1; Mario Kart, Zelda, Mario Odyssey etc. I've not really got a huge collection of games. I just wondered what are the games that actually you have spent a huge amount of time on that are not that well known. Preferably smaller titles still exclusive to Switch 1.

hidden gems you mean for the Switch/Switch Lite?

if youre into interactive movie "games" then there's I Saw Dark Skies that'll keep you entertained for a day or two

also Call of Cthulhu from a couple of years ago i heard its pretty impressive for a game for the Nintendo Switch

@BonzoBanana Not secret, but a Switch exclusive that deserves more sales is Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. If you appreciate the visual artistry in games then I'd recommend giving it a chance, it's a fairly unique experience.

Another two recommendations I'd give are also not secrets but deserve more Switch sales - GRID Autosport (quality port) and Runner3 (unfairly snubbed).

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@gcunit Runner3 is not an exclusive. There are tons of hidden gems on Switch but almost all of them are on steam or other consoles so it's hard to think of any Switch specific ones. 🤔 I feel like exclusives are rare enough that they are almost always well known. I agree Bayonetta Origins didn't get nearly enough love. Or Peach Showtime. Those are two Nintendo games I adored which I feel like seriously undersold.

I'm nominating Part Time UFO. That one doesn't have a lot of eyes on it.

@N00BiSH That's also on mobile, but I totally agree!

My fav game, although on steam as well and has other ports coming, is Spark the Electric Jester 3. It's a great successor to Sonic Adventure 2, although you would have to play the first 2 games to understand the plot (those are on steam, and in 2's case, Xbox One as well)

The closest thing to a hidden gem that's actually exclusive is one of those that had a big debut and then immediately became forgotten like Astral Chain or the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon remake. Both of which apparently sold a million ASAP, so I dunno if that counts.

My real answers are Neo: The World Ends With You and World of Goo 2. Both sequels that deserved way more fanfare and love. What do people have against sequels to great games from 2008?

@AmanPikon it was delisted from mobile devices back in 2024. Unless you got it beforehand, it's basically a Switch game now.

@N00BiSH Oh that's disappointing
I have it Switch anyway

I'll throw Fast RMX and Golf Story into the ring, as two of the best Switch exclusive indie games. The former even has a Switch 2 exclusive sequel.

I think every 2017 Switch game of value probably isn't secret, because there were few enough games that they all sold well.

Capcom sold Street Fighter 2 on its own for like 40 bucks in 2017 and it sold well purely because it was a Switch game, it was a crazy time.
