@JaxonH, or anyone else who bought the collectors edition, did your steel book arrive wrapped in plastic film?

Mine didn't, it was just housed in its little cardboard frame. Checked the back of it and there's a chip in the paint. Not huge, but silver and shiny; noticeable.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@gcunit Mine was in a cardboard frame as well. Although I haven't looked at it closely for damage.

@Magician Thanks. Seems daft that not all steel books get wrapped on the production line. I'll contact NISA about it, but given the collectors edition has sold out, I'm not too hopeful that they'll send me a replacement.

@gcunit
I think there was no plastic wrap. Fortunately there was no damage.

It's unfortunate yours has a chip, but at least it's small and on the backside. On display you'll never notice.

@JaxonH Yeh, I know, but we pay a premium for what are mostly just niceties with these collectors editions, so them being nice seems like a fair expectation. If they don't offer me a replacement or a partial refund then I'll probably just return it, cos I was really 50:50 with which version to get of this.

Trails in the Sky has been sitting in my Steam library for like a decade now and I should probably get to that some day, but for now TfZ takes precedence. I should be getting it in the mail any day now. I'm in the middle of replaying FFVII but considering that I already played it and know what to expect, I can fit another 50+ hour JRPG into my schedule (god willing).

How's the difficulty level? I prefer my JRPGs challenging.

There's man all over for you, blaming on his boots the faults of his feet.
