I watched the UK version Direct and saw Bubbles.
I didn't realize the USA version using Hugh Morris as Pierrot looking.

Even the Japanese version was also different.
There was no clown or Pierrot characters in the trailer.
They used grandpa instead lol.

I'll be honest, I thought they were just gonna find a way to replace gender with style again somehow lol. Which is fine and based and cool on its own, I'm just genuinely surprised the word "non-binary" exists in a Nintendo game. I didn't watch the Direct past this, I don't think I need to see the game much to want it, and it feels like a game where part of the appeal is going in blind and watching the chaos happen anyway. Like I'm sick of going into games and knowing too much about them.

I keep thinking about how amazingly horrible my island is going to end up being due to how much creative freedom they're giving us with the Miis and the stuff that they interact with. All the pets I make are going to be some of the most abysmal things ever created, and I'm going to have fun laughing at it all.

I also keep trying to think about what Miis I actually want to create. The new Mii Maker makes it look like there's going to be a lot more potential in making characters that actually look like the characters that they're meant to be. I could probably make a half-decent Edward Elric- or actually make my OCs actually look like my OCs.

On top of this, I'm excited that I no longer have to actually make one of my characters a man so that they can get married to the character of the same sex. They'll just let us have same sex couples now.

The demo got dropped on the eShop, currently it's not out in US but I'm sure it'll be out there in a few hours

Ooo ... I did not see those finer detail options when I just setup my first mii. Maybe I didn't look hard enough ...

So, how do I say this...

There is no swear filter...

So you can call your Miis, the topics they say, your island, anything curses.

Maybe freedom is too good...

Not sure if anyone's brought it up but if you're playing the demo, don't let the clothes shop open. Unlocking that and giving the Miis clothes essentially locks the demo until the full game comes out.

Pay close attention. This is important.

@gcunit there's a pro mode button in the face paint menu, that's where you can activate all that

I'll get to the demo eventually, been playing MH Stories 3 right now...but also...

...Why?...Is this a bug or, they just think the demo should end right there? Seems kinda stupid to make it like this...

@squiddu-real Thank you! I went back for another look but still couldn't find it, but I've not thought to check via the face painting page.

I wouldn't say it 'locks' the demo, it just applies the limits mentioned in the screenshot. But it's not like you can do a lot in the demo if you avoid opening the clothes shop anyway.

But yes, the demo is pretty short. Nevertheless, I had great fun watching Will Smith and Michael Jackson frolicking together:
