(SPOILERS AHEAD) Take everything I say in this post with a grain of salt. I'm not a reviewer I'm just listing off problems I had on the dlc, so your opinions may differ from mine. If your enjoyed the dlc that's alright with me. I personally did not enjoy it very much, the side missions that are given are an annoyance to me, as the challenges might not be possible in all areas, like in mipha's level where you have to freeze 100 enemies, but it is only possible with your ice rod or freezing them with cryonis in water were there are hardly any enemies sitting in water for you to use cryonis on. and ice wizzrobes are scarce as well. And the cutscenes didn't have that same charm to them, you already knew how the game was going to end, so what's there to be excited about besides fanservice. Pack two was a bummer for me, pack 1 was pretty good. Hopefully when botw 2 and its dlc comes out they don't follow this pattern of"pack one is extra goodies, and pack two is barely a story"
Maybe i'm being too picky but i hate to see this trend of adding on parts to an already complete story, instead of making a new story. we already knew what happened, but we don't really need to see how. And parts they did include were confusing me on when this took place. Like when the heck did mipha and sidon sneak off to help out the other zora, they were with us the whole time after we saved them. The dlc creates continuity issues. Master kohga mission makes sense of when it took place(sorta?) but i thought they were fighting in hyrule field, not by the dueling peaks. Its just all so confusing, they did everything else ok, (new combos and weapons) but the story of it is pretty crap imo. But i guess i shouldn't have set my expectations to high.
