@Grumblevolcano That's problematic for me since I was only planning to buy one fifth of the TOTK game.😠 (jk)

Unless someone see's the logic to that legal note, I think that note may be a generalized legal blanket statement because sometimes NSO offers access to DLC as a perk. Although, I won't be surprised if TOTK DLC is purchase-only like Splatoon 3's expansion currently is. Granted that purchase-only status may not be permanent.

I've just preordered the game on Amazon.

The official TotK site says this (scroll right to the bottom of the page):

"**Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately."

https://www.zelda.com/tears-of-the-kingdom/

If you read the whole page, you can see that the above footnote with the two asterisks is referring to this paragraph about buying TotK digitally:

Buy the digital version and download it directly to your Nintendo Switch system—no code required! Plus, earn My Nintendo Gold Points* you can use toward more games and DLC**.

So all they're saying is that you can use the gold points gained from buying TotK to buy DLC for other games. They're not talking about some (yet unconfirmed) DLC for TotK.

Looks like Nintendo updated the page to make it clearer. It now reads as "**Full version of game required to use DLC for that game. Sold separately."

Like @Polvasti said, this disclaimer was for the Gold Points you earn and has nothing to do with Tears of the Kingdom specifically. I'm sure we'll get DLC eventually, but I doubt they'll announce it until a few months after the game comes out.

Zelda says "IDK if you'll beat the bad guy" and I'm like 😐 Lady, you're talking to me. The hero.

MS7000

Just had a fun email saying that my pre-order for the collector's edition has reduced in price to £0.

So it looks like ShopTo have cancelled my pre-order... I am wondering if this has happened for anyone else, but it has made it easier for me to skip this now. Will probably get in a couple of years.

Edit: Nevermind, ShopTo have said that was in error in a follow-up email. Back to trying to decide whether I want it or not.

Signature, huh? Where do I sign?

RupeeClock

GAME UK has the amiibo listed for £14.99, which looks to be the cheapest price in the UK, and actually available compared to ShopTo and Amazon.

GAME UK have a minimum £5 delivery charge on all orders anyway, and I'm still holding out for the My Nintendo UK Store to list both the amiibo and collector's edition.

1UP_MARIO

@RupeeClock that’s a risky move waiting for my Nintendo store uk. Try to get the preorder from game and if you do manage to get the pre order from Nintendo, cancel with GAME

@1UP_MARIO
That's a fair point, really. I'm not too concerned about getting the amiibo compared to getting the collector's edition, or even just the game.

Actually if I order the game and amiibo together, in lieu of a potential My Nintendo UK store order, that should be fine.

Argos has pre orders open for 139.99

1UP_MARIO

@RupeeClock 👍🏻. 30 pounds more though which isn’t great.

1UP_MARIO

@MarioBrickLayer hope so because if I remember the breath of the wild collectors edition. It didn’t go too well and most had better luck with GAME

Zuljaras

@1UP_MARIO That is steep! When I converted the currency from my pre-order I paid 116 pounds.

The difference is there!

1UP_MARIO

@Zuljaras I paid that too from GAME UK. £109.99 and 5 pounds delivery.

Zuljaras

@1UP_MARIO I guess that is the standard price I will have Resident Evil 4 Remake until then I guess ignoring my huge backlog yet again!
