If you somehow didn't already know, I'm your resident Switch collector who likes to import games from around the world if the physical copy isn't made available locally here in Murica. So while I was browsing the upcoming release schedule for Japan I was surprised to see that this game supports English and will be getting a retail release as well. Oftentimes most text-heavy games (visual novels, rpgs, etc) don't support English straight away. Usually they're picked up by western publishers who themselves foot the localization bill.

But here Square Enix have decided to provide English for a live action murder mystery game.

For some reason it gives me Sherlock Holmes vibes from the Sega CD, lol. Could be interesting.

This looks right up my alley. Thank you for giving it a mention here.

@Magician

It defently looks interesting. The one cut scene in the video reminded me of a episode of the golden girls where they go on a murder mystery weekend get away lol~ 🤣 Yeah I'm down for a good mystery / suspense game~ 👍

Happy Gaming! (^~^)

A week after release and the reviews appear to be positive.

My copy should be in my hands before the weekend.

I also have a copy on the way. Play-Asia were sold out of the Japanese release, but they had Asian copies in stock which will come with English packaging. The only possible downside is that any enclosed download codes will likely not be compatible with the Japanese eShop, but I'm hoping that there won't be any such "bonuses" in the case.

There's also a 3 disc soundtrack set coming later this month, but I'd like to at least play the game a bit before considering a purchase.

Porygon did nothing wrong.

Bah, much to my disappointment the SEA version has a 1.8 GB day-one patch.

@Magician : The SEA releases typically repackage the Japanese cartridges, so it’s likely that the Japanese release would have been affected as well. Does the cartridge show a JPN, ASI, or CHT code?

Upon checking, I can confirm that the only cartridges in my collection that are ASI coded are the Atelier Dusk and Mysterious trilogies. Oddly, my English-packaging copy of Kunio-Kun/River City Melee Mach is “CHT” coded (encompassing Hong Kong and Taiwan, I believe).

@Silly_G Good point. The cartridge packaged with the SEA copy is a Japanese cartridge.

@Magician : Nevertheless, it's a bummer that there's such a lofty download for what looks like a FMV game. :/
