So Ive had my switch for a week today and have been quite happily playing. However when I picked it up tonight the screen only shows the Nintendo switch logo and doesn’t boot up. I’ve tuened it on and off loads of times and it’s still the same. I’ve read about a recovery mode but it doesn’t work as it won’t go passed the switch logo. Typical this happens on a Saturday night and Nintendo are closed till Monday. Anyone got any suggestions or has my switch ‘bricked’!!!
Did you verify it was fully charged? It sounds like the Switch never charged properly. Are you using the dock? And did you try to plug the OEM adapter into the Switch to see what happens?
It was on 18% when I it happened. I only know that I was saying the battery didn’t last long but then realised I was playing it for 4 hours. It was about 20 mins after I put it in the dock and picked it up again I had the issue. I took the sharper out of the dock and plugged directly into the switch and it was charging. I’ve had it on all day today and it still had the switch logo displayed. The battery finally ran out so I plugged it in and waited 30 mins. Switched it on and it was still the same. It’s ok though amazon have dispatched another one to me and from what I’ve read a few people have had the same issue with no other fix than sending it back to Nintendo. I do intend on calling the. In the morning when they’re open to see what they say.
