Topic: Switch Lite Screen Tint - Do you have it?

After having an original switch since release I recently got a Switch Lite. Unfortunately the screen is quite a downgrade in colour and contrast with a green tint like a filter over the screen making it hazey and colours not pop. It is significant enough to make me not want to use it and I will be returning it. I was looking forward to the higher PPI originally and a step up in quality.

I have been looking at Youtube videos and unboxings and for many of them I can tell they have the green tint as well, though on reddit I have seen reports of some users not having this with their switch lite?

Can anyone share their experiences with their own devices? Thanks

I’ve personally seen the screens of at least four different Lites, one of them my own, and I have never noticed any kind of green tint or color defect.

So it’s perhaps not very common.

@zaine7 3ds had different sourced screens and so do Switches. Some Switch screens are known to have a different hue to them because of the different screen sources. The next question you may have would be regarding how likely another lite has the screen you want. I understand your issue, but I don't know a solid solution.

I wanted a 3ds with a nice IPS screen with better viewing angle & contrast, but never found one. So I had the less desirable 3ds screen on my New 3ds XL.
