Hi, noob here. Try to find the topic but couldn't find any. Is it normal for switch(main body) to heat if you Dock it. I've just play 3 Mario kart round and it's already super hot that even my screen protector loosen cause by the heat. Any thoughts on this?

Thank you

I've seen some video on youtube, that Switch can hot to around 45°C. Normally in dock it should get to about 40°C. So it is definietly normal to have very hot console, but it should not burn you.

I also have screen protector and I am playing in dock a lot in very hot temperature in room (it was around 30°C few last days). Console felt super hot, but nothing happened with my screen protector. Either your protector's glue is bad quality or your console is warming too much

Same here, it can get pretty hot while docked but definitely not enough to affect screen protector in any way.

@chahh It could be that you picked up a lower quality screen protector. It does get quite warm and I admit concerns me too. But I've had the console since day one and like @dharmajones93 I thankfully haven't had any issues despite around 1000 hours of play.
