My first serious attempt at making at what I think is a difficult course. It takes some patience and precision to pull off some of the jumps and areas but I hope it’s not too hard. Feedback would be appreciated on this one.

My first course ever and it was made quickly without too much effort hoping to punish people with trolly traps but nothing crazy. It’s pretty quick and simple once you know where the traps are, if that.
If you only pick one to play, I would like for you to try Wowser Bowser Castle. I’d be happy to try all players courses who tried mine, whatever the difficulty. Thanks!

I made another course that is based off collecting mushrooms frantically and using the invincibility frames from getting hit by traps to navigate the stage. It’s difficult but not as hard as ‘Wowser Bowser Castle’ to me.

It’s called “Not Mushroom For Error”

I wish it would record my times, unfortunately, whoever creates a level is not eligible for the time trials. But I think that was the right choice, otherwise the creators would more times than not be the best at their own levels.

43 seconds is fast. The level is like poetry when you run the gauntlet correctly. I love that. DKC Tropical Freeze was a masterpiece because the levels were designed in such a way that running them in time trials was like poetry.

I’ve got one more to reconstruct, and it’s even bigger and more ambitious than Luigi’s Last Mansion. It’s a metroidvania. I just have to find the commitment within myself to reconstruct the entire thing. And I need to find a way to direct the player, otherwise being a metroidvania, people are likely to go the wrong way via trial and error and then lose interest because they don’t want to do multiple playthroughs to figure it all out. I have to figure out a way to direct the player which way to go without making it completely obvious. It has to be clever. I’ll figure it out though.

Thanks! My goal is to bring fun to you guys. I’m no professional game designer, and I could never truly be able to make something as good as Nintendo, even though I set the bar that high (good to strive for excellence even if you never actually reach it). I’m just your average gamer, after all. But if I’m going to make courses, I’m going to do the very best I can and make them as good as possible, striving for balance in all things, paying attention to details so there aren’t areas where you have to stand around and wait too long, or spaces too tight where it’s awkward to move around in, or difficulty spikes, and every block/enemy/item placed should have meaning and purpose, and above all else it should be fun the whole time. As long as someone gets enjoyment, I’m happy. It’s my number one goal.

New to Super Mario Maker but not so new to level design. Here are the 2 levels I have had the time to create.

1. Van Mario: The Koopa The Hunter
ID: MBF-7YP-QHF
Puzzle Theme with a boss fight at the end. You must use the mechanics that you had to use throughout the level to beat the boss.

EDIT: The Raccoon course is back up. I figured out a way to not break the immersion and natural flow of the level by applying doors to the end of each section. These doors take you back to the beginning to get another leaf without dying or restarting the level

2. Raccoon In Space!!! (Expert) <<< Maybe super expert.

Not for the faint of heart, this level is challenging but doable for sure. Advanced raccoon users only! Patience and practice to succeed. Only get 1 leaf at the beginning!!!

Hope you enjoy my levels, They may not be the most creative but they are well thought out. I did my best to balance challenge without making it seem unfair.
