We have 2 threads for Pinball FX3, but none for the other recent pinball game release, so I figured to change that
From what I've played so far it looks real good and runs silky smooth (in portable mode, to boot).
So far I've only played Mary Shelly's Frankenstein (the free table) and Phantom of the Opera (it's one of the less expensive options, and has some eye catching art).
Planning on grabbing Star Trek & Ghostbusters for sure, and maybe Starship Troopers.
Hopefully they release the Avatar, Jurassic Park, Whoa Nellie, and Playboy (don't judge, lol) tables in the future. I'd like to see the Back to the Future table as well, but with Zen having the Universal rights, I don't think that's likely (that probably rules out JP too, now that I think about it...).
Anyhow, it's a pretty fun time, and the only downside immediately available is that there's no option to demo the tables.

I tried this one out once but I've been too busy with FX3. Mostly because that one had three free tables so I don't have to switch games to play another table. Tables seem to be more expensive in Stern as well so I'm thinking of getting the physical version. It seems to cost 40€. I doubt they'll sell that well here so I'll wait until it goes for 30€.
It's its, not it's.

@LinktotheFuture AC/DC has around 4 songs you can choose from at the start of each match.
I put about 4 hours into this game when I got it 10 days ago, but now Pinball FX has come out so I’m messing with that. Sure I’ll keep coming back to Stern too though.
Way too into FX3 atm, they've done a remarkable job recreating actual tables here but I'm not finding them anywhere near as fun as FX3's impossible but gorgeous ones. Perhaps a bit snobbish, but the external environment in the Stern tables is kinda drab and drags the presentation down IMHO.
Also, SD card space is precious and I think I'd have preferred to download them separately rather than (Im assuming) all in one big go and just buy to unlock them.

Definitely recommended! Don't neglect this bc of FX3. This, deserves love too, even if it is more expensive than FX3. Got both bundles and I am having a blast.
I played the free table for few hours last night. At first I thought it was not as good, but after a few plays I appreciated this a lot more for being more realistic, and the sound reminds of being in old skool Arcade.
As this game only has real life tables, I am hoping the Star Trek Next Generation table will be a future download. This used to be in my local pub back in the ninties, sunk lots of quids on that, happy days.
@Gerald Stern Pinball Arcade only offers pinball tables by maker Stern, so you'll never see Star Trek Next Generation offered. However, the normal Pinball Arcade does have Star Trek Next Generation table, and I can only assume that FarSight Studios is working to get Pinball Arcade onto Switch too. That game currently has 94 tables on their PC and mobile versions (I think they are running behind on their console builds of the game).
I've always been more of a FarSight Studios / Pinball Arcade fan, as I prefer real tables and the physics in Pinball Arcade feel more realistic to me than Pinball FX ever has, but with FX3 launching on Switch, I've been playing a lot of that and I'm starting to appreciate what they offer with their fanciful tables (and I'm getting use to their physics engine).
@Joeynator3000 That's really hard to say, since Pinball Arcade is reality-based tables. The variety tables in the Stern game is hit-or-miss, since those are strictly the pinball table maker Stern's table only. If they release regular Pinball Arcade onto Switch, then we'll be in business, as that game currently has 94 tables, with many being my all-time favorites to play in real life. As for Stern Pinball Arcade specifically, my favorite table of those is the Star Trek table. Ghostbusters is very fun, too.
Got the Ghostbusters table this morning & played for a bit. It's fun, but I noticed there's some slowdown if you hit a super jackpot while multiball is active (in docked mode, at that).
Hopefully they smooth things out in a patch.
