Topic: Starcraft on the Switch

Blizzard Entertainment has managed to bring 2 of its biggest games to the Switch Diablo 3 and Overwatch so the next question is how about Starcraft ? I could see that as a Switch game. What do you all think?

Well StarCraft Brood War was on the N64 but Blizzard was disappointed by it and said that they would only bring their games to consoles if the ports are a perfect fit.

StarCraft was just a blind test. I would love to hunt it down but it is too expensive!

wasn't there a GameCube StarCraft spin off or was that cancelled? Anyway some classic blizzard collection would be awesome

@mrjelly Yeah, Star Craft: Ghost. It looked awesome, but kept getting delayed and was finally cancelled.

StarCraft is only good and was good on PC and should stay there. Mouse/Keyboard is what that game is situated for.

@SwitchForce you have a good point but still it could be cool if one was developed.

StarCraft64 was fantastic. If it should stay on PC because of M/K, then you’d have to give up Doom, Quake, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, etc.

I’d enjoy some SwitchCraft.

I have 'A' (free at that) StarCraft on my computer now. I DL'd it but haven't started it yet... I believe you must be connected to play, but really how different is that than the seasons on Diablo 3?

Blizzard claimed an alliance with ps4 with an aim.to take over the world, this resulted in diablo 3 that then got ported to everything. I can't imagine they'll focus on much else than diablo on phone and overwatch 2 but it'd be great to get StarCraft 2 all dlc pack to switch! Or blizzard classics collection as I don't know much about them!

That would require major Graphics update and CPU optimization for portable console and considering the age and how they stop supporting it already that will cost alot of Time/Labor and as alot of other games now uses this type of gaming strategy already.

I don't know how well fast paced RTS like Starcraft would work on a console. I know RTS games have been done on consoles before, but from what I have seen, almost every RTS player prefers a keyboard and mouse.

I don’t like to argue but i still think there would be a way to do it. But I know it probably won’t.
