Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Switch 2 will be 11 GB compared to the original's 5.8, so approximately double the file size. We previously thought it'd be 5.7 GB for Switch 2, but that is seemingly just the DLC.
You can seemingly pre-order the upgrade pack now, which I certainly wasn't expecting this early.
Edit: The listing of 11 GB is on the upgrade pack specifically, so it's currently unknown if the 11 GB is the upgrade pack alone or the whole game. I'd guess the whole game, but it's hard to tell.
Man, I just booted the game up for a couple minutes to make sure my save was intact, and y'all it looks sooooooo good. The graphical enhancements were just instantly obvious. Can't wait to jump into the new stages over the weekend.
@Bigmanfan I didn't notice any graphical changes before versus after I bought the DLC 😅 Maybe I am unobservant. The new stages are quite good though.
3 levels in myself on the Star Cross World content, with all Starries on those levels saved! There are also 43 new figures to get too! Adds a bit of extra content to try and complete that too.
I like to 100 percent each level before moving on. It does look and move super smooth. Lovely to control. So responsive. Poyo!
@Jhena Very much worth it if you enjoyed it first time around! This is perfect for me, as I loved it, but having completed everything 100 percent, I had little reason to play it much more. I know some people bemoan 'only 12 extra remixed levels', but quality over quantity. They do also require at the very least 2-3 or more playthroughs to do all the missions on each of them. I think there might be an extra mode in the Arena battle too, but not looked yet.
@Mana_Knight
The base game is awesome and I completed it 100% too. How could I not? What a fun and well made game. I am glad that you enjoy the new content. I think if I can finish Fantasy Life i before Z-A arrives, I will give it a try, too.
@Sylamp Technically correct, but not the whole story. It doesn't have native HDR support, but does use forces HDR which still improves it. Should've clarified what I meant earlier.
Played the first 6 stages last night. They're good, but they don't blow me away (aside from Fallen-Star Beach) and I was misled with the amount of content that's in this expansion (I thought every level would get a variant, not just 2 levels per world. Although in retrospect that would've been too good to be true. I'd have to check again what was said in regards to the quantity of levels before release). Is it still worth the $20? Ehh, I guess. But it's not as great a value as I thought it would be.
Finished Star Crossed World yesterday and it was really fun. Wish there was one or two more stages, cause it was just a tad bit shorter than I was hoping for. But overall, I thought it was sick. The new stages (cause yeah, they're more new than remixed for the most part) looked fantastic visually. The music was mostly reliant on remixed tracks, but they were pretty decent. And the level design just felt like it was the best the overall game has to offer. So many fun usages of mouthful modes and the collectibles were hidden very smartly. The only real complaint I had with the level design was the overuse of minibosses, but that's a small complaint in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I'd say an 8/10 from me.
@Truegamer79 Sadly no. You have to pay the upgrade price even if all you want is the performance and resolution boost
I didn't even notice the performance boost (but my tv isn't 4K). The new levels are good though. Are they worth $20? I would say closer to $10, but I don't regret buying it.
