I have just bought a 256gb yellow switch micro sd card which doesn't work in my switch, it keeps coming up with error whenever I download anything to it. When I put the micro sd card in my phone it works perfect, I dont get any issues.
@Daniel04m probably needs to be formatted. Search Nintendo support for how to format micro sd on switch. Or micro sd FAQ page. Normally I'd paste links to their directions, but i don't have time at the moment.
Would have thought the Nintendo branded card would be ready to go out of the package, but I'm guessing it needs formatting.

AKA different format doesn't translate to another device. You have to look at NIN FAQ on how to format the sd card to work in the Switch.
