Hi people, I want to buy a SD Card for my Switch, I am looking for a capacity of 128GB. Any recommendations? I live in the UK and I am worried that I may get a SD Card which is fake.
I bought a Samsung Evo off eBay about 27 pounds and as I used it it stopped me from updating and downloading, after I removed the SD Card it began working.
A good thing to keep in mind is to avoid things like Amazon marketplace.
There's a bunch of fake stuff being sent back in and sold from there.
In my experience, stick with trusted retailers, Amazon itself and base.com are the two I have the most trust in myself. Don't buy from third party sellers for something like this either.

I'd pick the top one from Amazon itself. £37,40
That one shouldn't give you any problems.
The one beneath from Wangain Company for example, I would avoid. Even though it might be a fine company, I can't vouch for them.

Don't take risks with SD cards and USB drives. Always stick with a known brand. You'll save a lot more money in the longterm. The same applies to optical disc.
When choosing your micro SD card, try getting one of a higher speed, if possible, rather than opting for the cheapest (and slowest). Slow micro SD cards can increase loading times and even affect the performance of more CPU intensive games.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

Thanks everyone. So Kingston works for the switch and you have no problems with downloading and updating correct? Just want to confirm. Ordering from Amazon themselves should be safe right? Just want to make sure 100%
@zitpig Thanks. Use them for your switch? Anyone has any problems with downloads when a SD Card is in your switch? Or is that just cuz the SD Card was fake

Any advice is appreciated.
I would also worry. English people are quite shifty, buy them from a Scotsman instead.
@Adnanilyas21 The one I linked to is the one I've been using for over a year now.
Never had a problem downloading or loading games.
My experience with Kingston cards has also been better than with the Sandisk ones.
Have had a couple Sandisks go bad over the years, but till this point not a single Kingston one.

There is Amazon UK where you could look for SanDisk memory. Also you should get the biggest at least 200gb not less I had to upgrade and migrate my data to a 400gb SanDisk because of the DLC, updates and game saves to give more room.

I think your Samsung is junk then. Don't go cheap on microsd memory always get new.
@SwitchForce yeah I agree with you. Oh I don't buy a lot of digital, the only reason my space is over half full is because of Bayonetta coming as a download. Want to get Outlast and most probably 2 if I like the 1st

That the problem some DLC are pretty big. If you don't do much eShop good for ya but eventually it will fill up somewhere down the line. I did get the JPN Bayonetta Climax and wow what a package and love both Physical games on it. It wasn't cheap but far cheaper then what it is going for now in JPN, UK, EU and Amazon. I did also get the UK Bayonetta but will not return it - keeping it for collection unless someone can offer me a price then I'll consider that.
@SwitchForce I love my Switch just don't get time with two kids. Can't wait for app many games. That sounds like an expensive purchase!!
And a xbox/ps4 isn't expensive? The last line is like comparing Apples to Orange that has no real bases to compare to. What app are you referring to? You have eShop games and Physical games they aren't app. Not sure where app is coming from. Those whom games make time you don't have to be in it 24/7 we can all make time this isn't the real issue here though.
