I have never played a RESIDENT EVIL game before and I was just wondering whether I have to play them in order or not.

No you don't have to play them in order but do play the first one to get use to the later ones. You should play eternal darkness sanity requim it was on nintendo gamecube it's like resident evil games but like a million times better .it's only 20 euro on amazon. That's if you like resident evil games

@Jojabean44 I only played the 4th one and a bit of the 5th, and I only played 4 because they changed the controls (could never get used to the tank controls when I was younger). I would say you don't have to play them in order but it's up to you. I know resi 4 stands on its own although it may be enriched by the knowledge of the lore from the first 3. The next one I intend to play is 7, again probably because it's a new playstyle. I've also played revelations on 3ds (mainly bought it for the circle pad because I like collecting random official peripherals) and that was also really good although it actually played better with out the circle pad imo. Resi 4 is actually in my top ten games ever I think

See ya!
