@yokokazuo finally, someone on the forum notices, and it's only because i somehow missed a game in the very small library of gcn games, bleh... probably was from when i finished the initial version of this at like 2am.

it's fixed now, thank you! everything should be up to snuff...

although i am tempted to expand this into other services like nintendo music at some point... just for the hell of it!

edit: while i was at it, i added notes to clu clu land and adventures of lolo to explain the alternate versions!

speaking of lists what games have you guys played/beaten on NSO?

My list is relatively small, but right now its:

Beaten: Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Dr. Mario 64, Yoshi's Story*, Star Fox 64*, Mario Tennis (if you count beating a star tournament once), Winback, Goldeneye, DKC2, Mario All Stars (Mario 1,2 and 3), Kirby's Dreamland, Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Played: Mario Golf, F Zero X, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Party 1 and 2, Mario Kart 64, Waverace 64, Pilotwings 64, Tonic Trouble, Ridge Racer 64, Tetris (GB), Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Spinball, Streets of Rage, Gunstar Heroes

also the four original battle royale games of course, with time heavily focused on the Mario and F Zero ones

*every level beaten too

I would echo the sentiment I've seen a few times on this thread, namely that I'm not particularly bothered by the slower cadence of NSO releases nowadays given how substantial the library is now compared to at launch. Yes, there are most certainly a good number of glaring omissions in the catalogue still, but a quick tally of my hours across each of the individual NSO Classics apps (are we calling them apps?) shows me 380 hours total since they first launched the service. I haven't even downloaded the Genesis/Mega Drive or Virtual Boy ones yet, but I know of at least 3 games I want to try on the former and I'm holding out to buy the VB cardboard set until the whole library is there (not with any particular reason, admittedly). It's been an interesting mix of replaying old favourites and discovering new gems, plus of course a decent handful of duds along the way!

If anything, what I wish most from NSO nowadays is more frequent and more attractive Game Trials (I believe Nintendo of America is a lot more proactive in this regard than in my region), maybe some further DLC inclusions like Splatoon 3's Side Order, perhaps, and a little more speed in terms of Nintendo Music releases. But overall, I'm happy with the NSO service, and yet the only online play I do is about once or twice a month for an hour and a half or so with my sister. I do think it's a real shame the NSO Game Vouchers were discontinued, as were Gold Points, as that actually got me to try and buy Nintendo games I otherwise wouldn't have taken the plunge on (and as with all things, some I enjoyed greatly, others I did not!).

so this probably would've been shown off sooner, but i stalled pretty heavily and did over half of this within the past 2 hours.
behold, the nso game list!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CqTakTKcEfLvuvcCHtt_z...

this spreadsheet has the list of all current nso games combined, as well as markers designating games with sp releases, region exclusivity, as well as other small notes.

i made this, feeling that the wikipedia page for nintendo classics separating each console made it harder to do goofy things like find random patterns in release timings, or, slightly more practically, provide a full timeline of every game drop.

if i made any mistakes, or if you have suggestions for extra data or changes, please let me know! a large majority of this was written over several nights past midnight, so sleepiness might've screwed up some things slightly. <3

Just gotta say, you're absolutely awesome for making and sharing this. Thank you so much for your hard work, and for making it available to the rest of us!

@squiddu-real Small correction: the stuff we didn't know we needed until it existed!

@squiddu-real no problem! I really enjoy all the details you have on it. (Much more organized than my own personal list)

@kkslider5552000 Oh, yeah I’ve played a fair bit over the years myself. Let’s see… I’ve replayed several titles in previous years. But for ones I’ve beaten for the first time via NSO, they are:
Super Mario Bros. 2/Lost Levels, SMB2 (western version, although I had played the Super Mario Advance version years ago), The Mysteruous Murasame Castle, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (I think I beat this a bit before the official English translation got released), DKC and DKL (played both at around the same time/pace), StarFox 2 (did beat one round on the mini SNES, but recently got a full 100% clear now), Fire Emblem Mystery of the Emblem, Marvelous: Another Treasure Island (I really enjoyed this game and would love to see it get a remake or perhaps an official translation someday), Super Mario World (all these years and even past Virtual Console purchases and I never got around to playing through it. I finally did when a friend and I did 2-player online through the whole game!), Winback, Super Mario 64 (I’ve played a lot of 2D Mario’s, but previously beat few 3D ones), F-Zero Maximum Velocity, F-Zero GP Legend, F-Zero Climax (got on a bit of an F-Zero grind when these came out), Mother 3 (Really was amazing, still hopeful of a translation/remake someday), F-Zero GX (still need to unlock more AX racers, but got the tracks now (Story mode in particular is really tough!)

My current hopes for future releases are getting the remaining FE games for the currently available systems (Gaiden and Thracia 776 for Famicom/Super Famicom), and then mostly GameCube games and a couple N64 ones I’m still waiting on. (And maybe Satellaview and 64 DD content?)

I wonder what the chances are of Nintendo releasing mature games for Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics. I know they have a separate app for mature Nintendo 64 games, but it seems pointless releasing a separate app for Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and Geist, unless there's other mature Nintendo games that I'm forgetting about.

I'd also like to see Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes make an appearance on NSO, but I won't hold my breath for that one.

@yokokazuo most you miss out on are release dates for special releases, but... really who cares about those glorified save states lol

Is it me or this time is in proper widescreen, much like the other Rare games on NSO?

Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is now a hidden gem of the Nintendo 3DS.

@HammerGalladeBro yep! DK 64 is one of the few N64 games that support widescreen (and a fair bit of Rare ones are the ones that supported it)

Looking forward to this myself, grew up playing this and the multiplayer with my siblings!

Also I was really expecting GC today/tomorrow though. Last update was in March and I thought we might’ve had all games out by the anniversary of GC NSO, but seems that won’t be happening. (Weird Mario Sunshine of all games still isn’t out though)
