Topic: Potential of HD Rumble

I'm new to this forum and tried to find a thread about HD rumble, but because I couldn't find one created this new one 🙄.

So what I want to talk about is the potential of HD rumble on the Nintendo Switch and how it could lead to whole own experiences and atmospheres in games. I also think it could become something of the relevance of the 3d effect on the 3ds (in games not relying on it like 1-2 switch).

I'm very doubtful whether the tech will really be powerful enough or suited for such extensive use, though, if not, the same thoughts and discussion could of course also be applied to a future Nintendo system and iteration of HD rumble.

So, what kind of implementations could you imagine for HD rumble, stuff like games not possible without it like some 1-2 switch games, but especially also smaller implementations or atmosphere-creating implementations in new games of all of Nintendo's big franchises? How much potential do you see for this feature?

I can't really think of much use for actual new gameplay mechanics (although Alex did have some ideas in a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G96agmC5dbI), but I think this would be a great feature to pair with VR to increase the immersion.

@Octane Ok, thanks for the note — I hope it's okay that, instead of the removed-banner, I've incorporated a bit of the removed sentence otherwise?
