Hello everyone, my apologies if this has been asked and discussed previously. But is there a way to set a password to use the SWITCH when in portable mode. I already have the setting where you have to press a button three times, but it also tells you to do that. I was hoping it is possible to set a temporary password for when someone is traveling (if we can ever do that again) or something like that so it wouldn't be worth stealing. Am I missing something? It seems to be an obvious inclusion. Potentially I would also like to be able to turn this password protection on and off since it would be a pain around the house.
Thank you

@Ste The only lock available is the 3-button-press. The only password protection available is for eshop. You can require a password to open eshop. And you can require a second password to make purchases. I guess, since the game console doesn't have personal email, contacts, phone, they didn't see the need to lock the console with a password. I understand why you'd ask, though, since locking the console with a password could deter theft. The Nintendo 3DS was the same way.

You can ask a nintendo support via chat messenger, or phone, if you want to double check. Their chat messenger is super convenient (available during Seattle work hours). It's actually quick to get a person on the phone, too — nice people. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/contact/session/...
