Topic: Phantom Brave 2

The first major release of the year is almost upon us, are you guys hooked?

There's a demo now, gonna have to see that even though it's a day 1 for me.

It's still a couple of days away but you know how the time speeds up, it'll be there before we blink.

If anyone missed the announcement, Phantom Brave, a pretty well known and fantastic tactical RPG from early 00s is coming back now, with new graphics, new mechanics, new characters and possibly new classes. The original was packed to the full with a great story, endless combat possibilites, and tons of challenges.

So, who's with me, mateys?

Very excited to buy the game, dood! Hopefully I have enough time to finish La Pucelle: Tactics before then.

By the way, love the cute profile pic of Sazanka. Need to get around and watch that Kunoichi anime soon. :3

Gotta admit, I haven't even touched La Pucelle, and with Phantom Brave 2 around the corner, it would just go back to the backlog. I hope I can finish my FF7 run before 30th, but then again, not the first time I played 2 - 3 RPGs at the same time

I tried the demo but I'm just not feeling the system of it. Partly because I've never really got around playing the original Phantom Brave. Overall, it's a skip for me.

I played it. Fantastic. Absolutely terrific. Everything on the top level. It will be VERY hard to top this one as a game of the year. They managed to improve Phantom Brave 1, and give it a AAA graphic! Its beyond my expectations!

Final verdict - 10/10 doesnt even begin to describe it, if a critic gives it less than 9.5 they're not worth their salt

@DanijoEX-the-Pierrot I can teach you, I played the 1st one where you had to experiment and learn everything yourself, it's WILD fun! When you start creating your own characters, it hooks syou so bad

@Princess_Lilly I think I'll start by getting Phantom Brave on Switch & go from there. Granted I know it's also on PSP but my PSP is getting on it's years. Granted darn thing is old as heck but it's still kicking.

I thought about it for awhile but I'm gonna give it a shot & stick it out.

Wanna get, but physical price is pretty high right now, so I'm (impatiently) waiting. Great to see that you're not disappointed, @Princess_Lilly.

@Arcwave yes, making characters and building them is so much fun! Marona is already lv 37 and I want the newer units to keep up so I sometimes replay the story battles. I forgot that SP doesnt regenerate between dungeon floors and on the firs5 t4y I had no healing since... floor 2

@gcunit that's true. I got a special edition but Im a space case, and I dont buy many games nowadays so I let myself this time. Also get prepared for season pass as they will dish out lots of DLC, with heroes from Liar Princess and Yomawari, Im so excited!
